"A "jib" in the phrase "cut of your jib" refers to a triangular sail on the front of a ship, and the phrase means someone's general appearance or demeanor, essentially how they "look" based on their mannerisms and style". You're welcome. Quote

He said he knew Julian Darby, and believed he would be so, so proud. He also said he's such a nice guy, that he'd possibly struggle to upset his players and that the job overall might not suit. One thing it does mean, is that the board don't have to rush an appointment. Well done to the Andys too. Quote
Winchester White Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I think whoever comes in will have watched that today and know they have a good foundation of players to start with. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Allardyce has made big moves up that list. Looked this morning, and he was 40-1. Quote

Looking at that list and Rooney aside id be ok with any of them. Not saying id be over the moon but none of them have an instant reason for me to be unhappy Quote

There are undoubtedly good players here, but I think as a collective it's still a madly imbalanced squad. It's far from ideal that JD decided our best chance of winning today was for both of our recent big money signings to sit on the bench. And he was 100% correct. Might need to be a make do job for the rest of this season - get a better version of Vic in the door, play a fairly simple brand of football and hope we get enough magic out of rotating the low sock boys. Duck Egg Posted January 25 Posted January 25 The late win v Blackburn (Stu Holden) was Coyle v Allardyce Quote
