with you on that.

I like the cut of his jib, and I don't even know what a jib is.

"A "jib" in the phrase "cut of your jib" refers to a triangular sail on the front of a ship, and the phrase means someone's general appearance or demeanor, essentially how they "look" based on their mannerisms and style".

You're welcome.

…and the jib is situated at the front of the main sails to prevent the ship lolling in the opposite direction - hence the verb to jib which means to refuse to do something.

I’m just not excited about any of the options TBH

I’d be inclined to stick with the Dream Team until the season’s over and then look again, unless someone else throws their hat in the ring.

Haven’t changed my mind yet, but after that performance you’d think they’d be forming an orderly queue.

Behind Schumacher.

Fuck it, give it JDarbz till the end of the season

Radio Manchester spoke to a fan afterwards.

He said he knew Julian Darby, and believed he would be so, so proud.

He also said he's such a nice guy, that he'd possibly struggle to upset his players and that the job overall might not suit.

One thing it does mean, is that the board don't have to rush an appointment.

Well done to the Andys too.

... & diff

Every 'jib' style indicated where the sailors came from, giving insight into who was sailing on the ship.

I'm so fickle, months in the doldrums, get rid of evatt and we produce that today. I'm buzzing. So, come on, who is itk regarding the new manager?

I think whoever comes in will have watched that today and know they have a good foundation of players to start with.

Looking at that list and Rooney aside id be ok with any of them.

Not saying id be over the moon but none of them have an instant reason for me to be unhappy

There are undoubtedly good players here, but I think as a collective it's still a madly imbalanced squad. It's far from ideal that JD decided our best chance of winning today was for both of our recent big money signings to sit on the bench. And he was 100% correct.

Might need to be a make do job for the rest of this season - get a better version of Vic in the door, play a fairly simple brand of football and hope we get enough magic out of rotating the low sock boys.

Darby et al to take charge of the Northampton game.

When did we last have two ex players managing against each other?  Coyle maybe vs Allardyce?

I think probably Phil Brown v Owen Coyle happened at some point but would have to check back.
