Nevertheless, speeding up the passing makes it harder for them to defend with a man short. Maybe more width second half? Maybe someone having a crack from distance? We should be able to tire them and capitalise later. Just hope we don't go into last few minutes with a single goal lead. I'll be papping it. It is natural but with Mansfield being compact in the middle, our midfielders are recycling it back more often rather than risking a forward pass, a shot or a cross into the box - and that could be resolved by moving it quicker and more accurately and with better control when it does arrive. Need to up our game. Quote
ph31 Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 The reluctance of Conway and Christie to get crosses in is painful. They're getting the time and space but turning back and going nowhere. Quote

We lose: away form is diabolical, what was the point of resting those players at Swindon, we're doomed. Unless its a draw and positive performance, there's going to be no half measure. SS is going to be hero or villain in 3 hours even more than a normal league game, because Swindon gave it extra context/significance. Going off the in-game comments there’s no way a win will get anybody too excited now. If we win comfortably - so we should If we win narrowly - should have been more Seal the away win - next away draw/defeat this one will be discounted because it’s against 10 men. Perish the thought we concede/draw/lose - season over, away form will never be recovered 😂 Quote

Farnywhite Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Looks like a evatt performance this to slow passing unconvincing at the back creating very little Quote

We need the next goal for sure as despite Mansfield being pinned back, they’re still getting the occasional chance. Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Christie playing the right side totally on his own, where Forss playing. Quote
London Wanderer Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Aye hopefully SS lays into them a bit still at half time. Mansfield look like they could equalise for me. Got to be more aggressive going forward and get a second. Get Sheehan on Quote

Just get the win, that’s all that matters now - I don’t care how it comes. Quote

wakey Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Sheehan plus our two best wingers to come on vs 10 men with a lead ... it's a mouth watering prospect. Just getting a win is the priority, but be nice to boost goal difference as well. Quote
gonzo Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Patient build up trying to find gaps and channels in a clustered defence is not in any way shape or form Evatt-Ball. Quote
FrancisFogarty Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 (edited) That's right. TMGJ Work them to fuck. But it needs to be further up top and include crosses and more balls like Johnstons for the goal. Edited December 9, 2025 by FrancisFogarty Quote
masi 51 Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 This Ref will even it up this half.....wont finish with Eleven Quote

Yes, that will be half measures. It will job done, nothing lost, the expected gain, move onto Wycombe (in terms of away games). Hopefully that's what happens, let's just get the points and get out of here, no injuries or sendings off. Quote
TM Trotter Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 (edited) Quite a few on here who need to invest £60 a year with a faceless gentleman from Little Hulton. What picture loss? 😇 Edited December 9, 2025 by TM Trotter Quote
bwfc4ife Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Surprised at Erhahon coming off, looked pissed off there too Quote
