1969 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Who would you prefer to face in the semi final Stockport Bradford Huddersfield Reading Stevenage Wycombe Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Decent record against Huddersfield. Stockport we seem to struggle a bit with. Bradford a bit of an unknown really. Not Wycombe- "Morely's ghost" to come back and haunt us. Maybe Stevenage. Quote
Marc505 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Im right in thinking semi final dates haven't been confirmed yet, only the final? 2 full weekends between last game and the final so could feasibly be a leg on each weekend Quote
jmjhb Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Stevenage, Reading or Bradford (although I'd prefer to play one of them in the final) Quote
desperado Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Thinking about it. Anyone but Stockport. I’d fancy getting a ticket for all the others. 900 on fastest finger would give me palpitations Quote
barrycowdrill Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Reading Stevenage Huddersfield Bradford Stockport Quote

L/H White Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Reading We're looking at playing away first as it stands, reading the easier away to hopefully bring a lead home Quote
boltonboris Posted February 28 Posted February 28 These opinions will change week by week. for certain there will be teams bang in form and bang out of form going into them. And it’s my worry actually. We could finish 3rd or 4th with a bit of a whimper and end up playing a team who are right at it. Momentum is so important This is why we need to keep on the heels of the top 2 and not give up. No resting, no writing games off etc. win. As often as we fucking can. Because there’ll be at least one team in there who are flyin’ Quote
gonzo Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Only Bradford away would worry me. We'd beat them all at home and at least draw away. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Stockport They have been the bane of my life for a few years. We owe them, but I don’t want to risk a train ride home with them Quote

Cheshire Youri Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Would settle for anyone but Stockport. Hammered Reading twice this season, picked up 2 points, should have been 6. Quote

Because there’ll be at least one team in there who are flyin’ I disagree. I don't think anyone in this league outside the top 2 (or 3!) is capable of flying. They're all a bit average. Bradford have been up there all season and have looked very average the entire time. Reading were supposedly flying when we played them, look how bad they are. Everyone treats Huddersfield as if they are any good but they've gone from an inexperienced manager to a confirmed shit manager and again, look how bad they are. The only team I've got a bit of a fear of is Stockport because 1. its Stockport, the modern day Tranmere and 2. they have Olaofe and Wooten and Norwood. But they have JDC, how hard can it be?! Its our's for the taking. Reading or Huddersfield in the semi would be ideal. Quote

Probably 1 every day for a week and a half, maybe 2 per day at weekend. Little chance of any team having the luxury of both their semis being at weekend. Having missed both Barnsley home legs in recent years I'm not missing this one so my May holiday is going to be the week before the final. I wouldn't be totally surprised if its Barnsley yet again, they are as good as any of the teams aiming for 6th. Quote

bolty58 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I really don't care. Whoever it is, we'll pan 'em. Quote
MancWanderer Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I don’t care either. If we finish 3rd and don’t go up it’s our own fault. If we finish 6th and go up then fuck the lot of them Quote
Ani Posted March 1 Posted March 1 As long as if we reach the final it is not Bradford or Huddersfield do not care about the semi. Quote
