Alf Hartigan Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Just watched Pan's Labyrinth on Film 4. Can't believe I've never watched that before, one of the best films I've ever seen. Quote
Theboybell Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Just watched Pan's Labyrinth on Film 4. Can't believe I've never watched that before, one of the best films I've ever seen. Â Very good film have to look away as he searches through the guys bag and gets the rabbit out! Beer bottle bit! Nasty bastard. Quote
Traf Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 You see, according to you lot, there's loads of really shit films out there. Â That's why I don't watch films. (Nothing to do with my short attention span, of course! ) Quote
barryk32 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Saw Abduction last night. Â I made the mistake of watching the trailer and deciding it looked good. Â Had I spent two minutes looking at the reviews on IMDB I would have seen the 4/10 mark (which is about right) and not bothered wasting nearly two hours of my life. Quote
Zico Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Source Code  was alright  too many gaping holes at the end though  like Deja Vu  just not as good Quote
NorthernStr Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Watching 'The Time Travellers Wife' on C4... Talk about sad and depressing... Â But it's a great book Edited February 8, 2012 by NorthernStr Quote
forever white Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) Watched extremely loud & incredibly quiet the other night. Not normally my cup of tea. Pleasantly suprised.great role played by the young lad. Edited February 9, 2012 by forever white Quote

Traf Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Just watched, along came a spider  Who played Miss Muffet? Quote
Danny G Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Dunno but Morgan Freeman had the lead role as I assume, The Spider Quote
Zico Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Drive  wasn't quite sure - spent first half trying to decide if it was set in the 80s or not, it's not, but it thinks it is  dead slow moving, then bang, grim violence ahoy  good but wasn't sure if Ryan Gosling was meant to be the strong silent type, or simple, as he really doesn't say much  reminded me of a history of violence, which was shit Quote
Didledee Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 The change up is hilarious, watch it if you can. Â Didle recommended. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Over the weekend just watched True Grit with Jeff Bridges and Maaatt Damon & The Lincoln Lawyer with McConaughey both pretty good and worth a watch. Quote
Zico Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Point Blank, French film, they don't half do some good crime/thrillers  most enjoyable, only 1hr 15 as well  Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Lincoln Lawyer - Sky Anytime - decent enough Quote
forever white Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Not one I've watched, but how did the film the artist sweep the board at last night's baftas. It's a silent movie ffs. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Not one I've watched, but how did the film the artist sweep the board at last night's baftas. It's a silent movie ffs. Â must be shit then Quote
Boothy Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Hobo With A Shotgun. Pretty weird and very 'B-Movie' but no completely shit. Quote
jules_darby Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Seen a couple on Sky this weekend:  Ironclad - wankfodder, I turned it off after suffering for an hour. And i normally like historical battle type stuff  Friends with Benefits - Chosen by Mrs Darby. Trying to be a different romcom and it's alright considering. Mila Kunis is sent from heaven and worth the watch alone Quote
Casino Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 speaking of films  how mnany times is jennifer aniston going to make the same film  every time i flick thru sky movies in the vain hope of something original, she;s there getting fcuked over by some random bloke  now, i do like her busters, so its not all bad, but ffs girl, try something else...take a leaf out of belladonnas bush, so to speak Quote
kent_white Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Anyone seen Rise of the Planet Apes? Â I'll have to go against the grain on that one. I thought it was a CGI horrorshow. I can manage to suspend my disbelief a little, but this was about 3 notches to high on the ridiculous meter for a film that takes it self as seriously as this one does. I don't want to give anything away, but the primate prison and the orangutan who manages to speak sign language because he used to work in the circus were particular low points. I don't think the audience was supposed to laugh at loud. And that bit at the end, Christ that was cheesey. Â To sum up. Like a grown up, humourless version of Bigfoot and the Hendersons. Â Â Â Â Â Â Quote
barryk32 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 got dragon tattoo when i can be bothered  Saw this the other night.  It was quite good but a bit complicated. I watched it while I had football manager on and was pissing about on the internet.  It needs more attention than that. Quote
