Presumably they're having one down south so they've fucked off the weather for the rest of the country like they do when there's a light dusting of snow down there.

Wah wah wah. You big Northern baby. They're interested as it might be a record breaker, I've yet to hear, ''and the highest temperature recorded today was on Eskdale Grove, Farnworth.''

You lot are going from 19 today up to 34 - that's a big shift, we're going from 25 today to 37 - so I reckon you'll be sweltering come Sunday night, I'd enjoy the cooler temps whilst you can.

If there is a God, and he made all that space stuff, and computers and sheds and cheese and iphones

Why didn't he make detachable scrotums for extremely hot days?

Men could probably have invented time travel by now if we hadn't been held back by wasting many hours each year just adjusting our sticky, flaccid bawbags.

Anyone talking about record temperatures hasn’t read the 1976 records yet.

We do laugh. I have experienced 46.8C in Perth. 28C over there and they are talking about a threat to life!

Plus, they're probably more likely to get some loose change than if they were on their own.

And, maybe I'm a bit naive, their existence must be pretty shit so I'd image having a companion/friend at their side must be good for their mental health.

But mostly because they won't get nabbed and they know it

He's invented the next best thing.

Parts of China are 40+ at the minute and it's fucking them right up, killing loads and bringing industry to a halt

Whilst over parts have torrential rain and flooding

You are right, it's pales in comparison to the delights of Queens or Moss Bank https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2019/jul/19/beckenham-place-park-lewisham-london-lake-woods-rewilding

I hear that the train at Moss Park isn't running because after a wonderful local fundraiser, some lovely people nicked the tracks https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-61704619

Bolty would love it in the BBQ bit with the built in pits, muslim, turkish, algerian, jamican, british families all out cooking (I have to say our turkish counterparts do a much outdoor spread than we do) Shames me to say it but I can't imagine having a BBQ pit area in Bolton's parks without just having a load of piss cans taking it over, but maybe I'm underselling us.

Bolty loves Bolton so much he hasn’t lived here for 30 years and never will again.

Got a three level garden in a lovely townhouse, thank you very much.

You enjoy your paddling pool, I'll enjoy my local lake 🙂

Had a brief walk around Crompton Lodges yesterday. Fantastic array of birds (feathered). They had an ice cream van.

Best part of the lake swimming is you can get really close to the Egyptian Geese, Egrets, Moorhens etc and this week went for a 7am swim and had a paddle next to a Heron as it wandered amongst the reeds. Then the poor thing got attacked by some starlings, which was a bit ood to see.

Daughter had a dragonfly land on her bonce as she floated on by.
