Watched the whole game mate. You have to dip your lid to Milan. Under the cosh for much of the game but defensively very solid. Kvaradona probably had half a dozen chances but was very wayward. Milan shut Osimhen out extremely well until time added on. Napoli had all of the play but, as we all know, the only stat that matters is the scoresheet.

Even if Inter did blow it (which I doubt but really hope they do - always had a soft spot for Benfica from the days of Eusebio) I can't see anyone stopping Milan reaching the final now. They have won it more times than anyone other than Madrid. Milan v Benfica would be more likely to present us with two attractive games whereas a Milan derby semi may well be a slugfest/borefest.

I still think the winner of the City v Real Madrid game will lift the trophy and will be having a bet on it once the final two are known. Presumptuous I know as City aren't there yet. I just can't see Bayern keeping a clean sheet so for me the tie is effectively over. Egg on face moment potentially?

Madrid are just an extraordinary winning machine when it comes to the European Cup/Champions League. It's become a far too well used adage but this competition is truly in their DNA.

I've had a little bet on Bayern to qualify at 14/1

Just don't seem to do it in Europe do they city

Tough ask, but it's football

See Liverpool Barca the other year etc

They'll have what happened vs Real Madrid last season in the back of their minds, I doubt it'll happen, but if Bayern score early, it'll get them nervy.

Hence they'll come out all guns blazing with a full strength team.

Heard it mooted Pep could make changes. Not on your Nelly.

Bet he wakes up in cold sweats thinking about that decision.

Wonder if anyone tried telling him at the time?

Dick.

Spout shite, because you can't make a legitimate, sensible point.

Thought you were better than that.

Anyway, maybe go and chat to the residents and ask them if they think the facilties are better now than they were. I've seen them interviewed and noted how pleased they were with the new infrastructure and opporunities.

Must have all been lying.

Perhaps learn some geographical accuracy in terms of spelling too.

I think you've taken that post a little too seriously there mate. Just a wee attempt at a joke based on our conversation about the subject. Sorry that it caused offence 👍

As others have said, it feels totally wrong the way the City have done it. I don't think it's good for football that those with the most money can come in and buy success. As you've said though, these problems aren't new and they're not exclusive to the premier league.

The Qatari's have made very little difference to the lives of folk in East Manc. Not enough to justify their arrival. As I said, we don't need them.

Always best to have your own spelling tip top if you're gonna step in with the grammar police badge 😉

The area around The Etihad remains a rotten, stinking, turd of a place. Clayton, Beswick, Bradford, Miles Platting are utter, utter shitholes. I can understand the residents seeing an improvement but it’s a handful of glitter sprinkled. A solid turd that sparkles a little bit in the right light is better than a sloppy one

I’ll doff my hat to the Qataris for the sporting facilities that have been built, which are exceptional, but derelict shops, boozers, businesses and houses still dominate the area. Reminds me of the 70s slum clearances without the slums actually being cleared

“East Manchester Regeneration” my arse.

City v RM over two legs will make for great viewing

If city get to the final and win they'll have more than deserved it this season

I just hope they don't, because it's funny as they want it so much

I’d love shitty city overtaking the rags for European cups for obvious reasons . Pep wins one in my opinion he will go on a rampage with em. but I can’t see past king Carlo and Real Madrid who I dislike also.

Coventry's goaltender scored on 95 at Blackburn.

Was with a jackburn fan in London tonight and they said I’d emphasise with them. I did well to hold it back. Great goal. I think I said it is good when keepers score though😂

Loved it when Cov equalised at the death - especially as the goalie appeared to knock it in with his hand :)

The Inter v AC CL semifinal should be tasty.

For someone who sports the name "Manc" in his username it is incredible how you can write so much that is wrong!

As someone else has said, your ignorance of the Middle East Countries is laid bare in your post. No doubt your hatred is borne out of many years living in those Arab countries you despise?

Yes, I from time to time check in on my old adversaries so after a wine or two I felt I must retort to the "Lefties" and "Pinkies" on the forum, who seem to have grown in number over the past few years, on the subject of Arab ownership of football clubs (and especially City)!

The areas around the Etihad are continually improving! Sheik Mansour has invested heavily and as a result the corridor and canal infrastructure from the stadia and sports complex into the city has been turned from desolation into fantastic developments and opportunities for the building trades and businesses that follow on. The regeneration in a decade is staggering and it continues to expand gradually outward!

Yet  "Manc" expects the Arabs to wave a magic wand over the adjacent "utter shit holes" he names! Why? Surely Burnham and his cronies could help by approving the planned tram extension into the area rather than continually blocking it?

Manc like his cohorts on here, ....the student unionist London Wanderer, Crawley and their lefty brethren on WW follow the media narrative of writers such as Delaney and Harris who believe that the only good Arabs are those nice wooly Palestinians!.....the sort everyone in the West has to feel sorry for!

As for Saudi, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Kuwait etc..... it seems they are the wrong sort of middle east brown people!!!!!

"Blimey, God forbid! How dare Sheik Mansour have personal wealth!!!! Thats not on! Because its "STATE OWNED" as they all cry....... the Guardian told me so." But even if it is....so fucking what!!!

These City haters go on to say.. "They should adopt our Western values and culture  before owning our football clubs".

So perhaps they should start a war or invade another country on a false pretext and be like us before having the temerity to invest billions of £ into East Manchester!

The Arab haters also insinuate ....."Far better to have Yanks borrowing billions and buying out clubs than those Arabs with new money upsetting the status quo of the traditional big money clubs!"

Do you lot all not realise how colonial you all sound? Times move on! Rich Arabs from various countries want to invest into the UK and all they get is insulting disguised racist tropes from left wing journalists and their blind followers!

Needless to say if these same awful Arabs had turned Burden Park and the adjacent Croal  River valley into what is now New East Manchester and the thousands of jobs created then the Pinkies and hand wringing Lefties on here would not have uttered a word!

Toodle Pip for another year or two!!!

It's like Liverpool and the title

The longer they go without, the more enjoyable it becomes

Pleased for you Italian fan boys though that an Italian team will make the final
