I was there for the tie in 60 or 61. Big crowd for the Gigg, if I remember. We scored early but left with a draw.

 

Wasn't there 30 odd thousand on when we played them at Burnden in the 60s. Also saw a post think it was Bolty that Bury train staton got trashed when we played them in the late 60s. Our recent record against them isn't that good and I wouldn't fancy us to beat them now.

Remember a Friday night league match at Gigg Lane when there was over 21000 on; we lost 2-1 and there was more Bolton than Bury on

35,000 in 1960, Gigg Lane's highest ever attendance.

i was there one night

 

think they played either qpr or forest

 

it was full with about 12k on and the stand opposite the main stand looked like it was swaying
