If Dortmund win the final they will become top seed for next year's competition.

This would push ManCity down to 19th or 20th on the list.

So unless there are numerous upsets in the 3rd and 4th qualifying rounds City will be in Pot C. Again!

Ha ha.

While it's far from perfect, I get the impression that the German FA worked with the fans when modernising the stadiums, trying to eliminate crowd trouble etc rather than the "put up or fuck off" over here.

Bang on.

And the fans seem to really appreciate it.

Never seen a stadium so full so long after FT when there is nothing being presented.

Well done ze Germans these last two days, hopefully it will give our FA a kick up the arse.

£96 for a season ticket at a german team and you get a complimentary beer upon entrance to the ground

our atmosphere has been killed by stewards and police and knobhead supporters

While they keep pulling the big tv contracts in, nothing will change. I fear the bubble has to burst before we can reinvent the matchday experience.

I've just read that the polish lad was offered to blackburn for 5mil in 2010, but he couldn't get over due to the ash cloud

He was also offered to spurs

Don't forget who was Rovers manager at the time. Pinch of salt.

Some things I think just couldn't be replicated here, next to the away end is a mixed stand and outside both sets of supporters are encouraged to mix together to drink and socialise. Police and stewards seem to be pretty easy going too.

Some clubs, ours included, seem to have realised that cheaper season tickets especially for young fans are the way to go at least.

yep, when i went bremen earlier in the season we got on a boat/ferry type down the river to the stadium. If had pretty much 50/50 split of bremen and dusseldorf fans on it all drinking and mingling together (there was a bar on it), not a bit of trouble and a great atmosphere. That was two bog average bottom half sides as well.

i can see a big uproar against ticket prices and seating soon

A mass boycott is the only thing that would do the trick.

But as long as the middle class muppets queue up get in Old Trafford etc and wave their flags about that will never happen.

Its all too late in this country if you ask me.

Things will only change when crowds slip and the money starts going elsewhere, like you say there are now to many middle class people watching the top clubs, and that's all the FA care about the top clubs.

Post this many times.....most tickets in German football are like here...expensive. Only a few cheap ones.

Dearest at Dortmund is 50 euros.

Cheapest is 9 euros, with 8 different price ranges in between.

Kids ticket is 4 euros.

£42 for the dearest ticket isn't bad though is it?

Considering it will be 3-4 times that at most high end premier league grounds.

Don't think anyone does actually think all German grounds are 2 bob to get in,they are just a hell of a lot cheaper than ours.

The clubs don't give a flying fuck....that's the problem.

The tickets are similar to UK. I paid 54 euro to be sat in the gods for the hamburg Bremen game. The posh seats are dear too. Plus German football is pants
