Ratwhite Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Promotion season - madness to miss it (Again) Quote
MickyD Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Cancelling daughters, maybe son's too. She'll be in Sheffield and probably not traveling home for every home game. Quote
Smiley Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Yes it automatically renews unless you tell them not to Can you cancel it after the deadline has passed? Decided I'm going to can it off next season. Missed half of the games this term, so lost out in the end. Would sooner just pick and choose games and take advantage of any freebies knocking about and any deals they have on offer. Quote

If you pay monthly DD you can cancel at anytime, for the small cost per month its hardly worth not having a season ticket my dad n lad in the East Lower about £32 per month you can spend that much on a quick meal and drink in a pub with the missus in less than 1 hour. Price wise it really is for Fuck all. Edited April 9, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
gonzo Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I've missed probably half of home games this season. Seriously not worth getting one. Especially when there's always so mainy spares and offers kicking about. Just can't bring myself to give it up though. Besides,I can't let some stranger sit next to my dad can I? I'm too frightened of losing the faith completely if I don't have one. Quote

But my daughter has been once all season and I've missed around 7-8 through holidays, work, etc. I need to spend more quality time with her. Quote

Ani Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Smiley I miss most mid week games so I will have 3 spares, you can even threaten the kids if they are naughty. Quote
tomski Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) My fear is its easy to disappear completely when you drop off. Especially when you think £28 a game is bollocks. plus its a promotion season next year???? Edited April 9, 2015 by tomski Quote

Especially when you think £28 a game is bollocks. plus its a promotion season next year???? This. Now I don't have an ST I find it hard to be motivated to go back. I had the choice of the game on saturday or the ice hockey near mine and a few beers with an old Colleague. Going to the macron is too much effort sometimes. Next year I will have an ST So will have to go Quote

SatanGreavsie Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I suppose I'll do it - but this season has had/will have 7 non weekend home games, which are tough from a distance. I do wish they had some option to go online and opt out of up to, say, 6 games and be reimbursed somehow eventually. Thing is - as others have said - if I do the sums and think its not worth it for 16 game instead of 23 and so don't renew, the lack of ticket will probably mean I'm less motivated to get to as many of the others as I can, so breaking the habit makes a downward spiral. I mentioned this a few weeks back the club really do need to take a look at this many of us for whatever reason can't make every game and an opt out for 4-5 games should be the way forward as Satan says if you don't get a season ticket it's only going to lead to a downward spiral less and games and we can ill afford to lose any income given the low levels of revenue we currently operate on. Did I dream it, or in the early years of the Prem didn't we have a buy back scheme for seats for bigger matches? Quote
