Can I be the first to congratulate the board on the sale of £11m worth of assets that safe guard the immediate future of the club whilst not materially affecting the football operations.

Granted assets are there in normal circumstances to generate income for a business but in the very unusual circumstances of your main benefactor and income source pulling out having the foresight over 15 years of unrivalled success to accumulate assets suitable for resale should the business ever need it.

I wonder if all these assets are where the money went after all??

Exactly. I'd fucking love Deano to come out and say, right lads, we've got no debt and will only from now on have servicable borrowing, our main revenue stream is ticket sales, if we get 6K then the team will reflect that. You, Bolton, want a high flying team, you need to get away from your keyboard and put your £££ where your mouth is.

To the last full stop, the most intelligent and accurate post since this forum began.

Fucking Bravo, sir.

You can be the first.

The rest of us might wait until we see it happen.

I had a feeling I might be in a minority but maybe not of just the one ...... By footballing operations I mean a car park - offices and a training ground we don't need to put out a decent football team

Let's see where the £11m ends up first, eh?

Would of been better done 12 months ago as we might have not been virtually relegated right now. Also I'm no expert but have they got market value or just a fire sale value?

Exactly..

And anyone that thinks a consortium will only put out a team that is based on gate receipts is deluded.

Really lads?

I understand the notion, romantic as it is but in this day and age that is not going to happen.

It's not that I don't dream of it, but to think that is the case...

You may as well go and follow magpies.

So where WILL the money come from ?

Match day income is a relatively small proportion of the dosh brought in buy any club

With the rest coming from where? Assuming that club is in League One.

A deal hasn't been done, may not ever be done and yet Bolton fans are already moaning about possible new owners they know nothing about. I cannot get my head around that.

Come on Dan!! 1300 and odd posts and you still haven't worked out Wanderersways??!!!

And I would just like to say that whoever the new owners are they are complete cunts..........

fuck that, it's Jorge Mendes!!

And he represents Jose Mourinho......it's all falling into place

That'll mean we won't get the fit doctor.

Boooooooooo! José Out!

Ferguson seem to like him.

The Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was highly critical of Anderson's involvement at Blackburn Rovers, saying: "You’ve got that issue at Blackburn of an agent involved and deciding the future of the club, Jerome Anderson, he couldn’t pick his nose. It’s baffling and it’s a serious threat to how clubs get run and how they conduct themselves.”[19]
