bwfc2003 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 It says in the bn that ss bid has been restructured. Perhaps disley had to be fucked off before Ed would do business- we just don't know. Moreover, presumably preferred bidder status doesn't guarantee a purchase. Well something needs to happen pretty quick, as Iles reported earlier that if nothing was sorted we would have to go into admin tomorrow - that was a deadline set - not sure as part of the WUP Quote

kent_white Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Does this mean David Moyes is our new manager then? Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Does this mean David Moyes is our new manager then? Inevitable. Quote
Salford Trotter Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I think i'd rather have Moyles Quote
Rembrandt Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Underwhelmed? I'm not sure I can even be arsed being whelmed anymore. No. My Wanderers whelm is pretty knackered too. Quote
Cheese Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Whatever happens, I think I'll just be grateful it's over for a while. Never experienced this sort of 'off the field' shit before, and I hope I never experience it again. It's fucking tedious. Quote
DazBob Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I'm not in and I'm not out Fingers crossed and wait and see Amen. Quote
Traf Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I wonder when Deano will be approaching Southend for Phil Brown? Maybe when Brownie comes in, we can get a few loan players in and we can survive the drop! Not happening. Embargo won't be lifted until we file FFP. Quote
Sweep Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Not happening. Embargo won't be lifted until we file FFP. Correct, I'm amazed people seem to be struggling with this. I've heard people assume as soon as were taken over we'll be in a position to sign players. Quote

I've heard people assume as soon as were taken over we'll be in a position to sign players. I'm glad a couple of others have said this now. I was looked at like a mentalist in the other thread for suggesting that we won't be signing someone the day the club is sold. Quote
Traf Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 And if we could sign players, we would get two more right backs for the bench Quote
Cheese Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 It's quite surreal to think that in a few days time our Club Chairman will probably be Dean Holdsworth. I actually loved him as a player (don't give a fuck about his miss at Wembley), and his goal celebrations were fucking brilliant, but I can't shake off an uneasy feeling about his current Oyston-like appearance and demeanor. I just don't get it. Unless he's got some big investors involved, I just can't fathom what SS are up to. Having said that, I hope it all pans out well and we can celebrate with him once again in the future. Quote
HomerJay Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 If the ss thing goes through, bwfc will live to fight another day. Thatll do me Quote

Just worried about the destination. Are Emerson group involved in SS?? Quote

Juan.Kerr Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) At least it looks like HMRC have shit out in their efforts to close us down. Small victories, but victories. We live to fight another day. Edited February 18, 2016 by Juan.Kerr Quote

jules_darby Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 this lot have clearly led serious interest for a long time My concern is why are they only now the party that are preferred If they have confirmed to why is best for BWFC now then great If we have now (had to) change(d) our requirements / demands, then I'm worried If circumstances have now been met for ED et al to sell BWFC now but weren't before (ie sell assets first), then I am "concerned"; as it's likely that this is less favourable for the club that's left Until we know the above and more, who knows Quote
JAMESBWFCWALSH Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Dont know if its been said before but radio 5 live news have just anounced Dean Holdsworth is taking us over. Like Cheese has said he was quite liked by Wanderers Fans ( although his Wembley antics still rest un easy with me, and he does havethe look of a cheeky chappy ( honest guvnor it werent me) type about him . We will just have to grin and bear it and wait and see what will will be Quote
nottinghamtrotter Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Definite concerns but definitely preferred to Tamraz - seemed echoes of Pompey and their churn through foreign owners. I keep the faith based on ED's eulogy when PG passed away - surely he's made the best decision for the club and us (accepting none of us have a bleeding clue on any details.....). Quote
