I think you need to check a few posts back matey. I wasn't particularly backing Trump or, for that matter, the bent bastard but suspected that she might win on the 'lesser of two evils' principle.

 

Now he has won, I have little difficulty enjoying the anguish of cunts I despise like those wet behind the ears kids protesting about a democratically arrived at result on the streets of US cities. I would immediately sanction a tear gas launch followed by a baton charge instruction to administer a little more life experience to the undemocratic numbskulls. Just to pacify the whining doom mongers on here, I would have sanctioned exactly the same thing for those protesting the election of Barack Obama in exactly the same way nearly 8 years ago.

 

An absolute reflection of pathetic Remainers demanding a second referendum and refusing to accept the result of the Brexit vote. Thankfully, most accept the will of the people. Let's hope the appeal wins.

Same with trump albeit from a looking on point of view as this imo doesnt affect me much and again i find the protest march and protesters in general (I grew up with one) a bit swampy and very sore losers.

I'm amazed that people still watch Question Time.......and even more amazed that people are shocked at it being a one sided panel. I stopped watching it in the run up to the Brexit vote, as it was just piss poor and massively biased..........even though I preferred to remain, I wanted a balanced debate, not a massively biased one.

I read it as taking the piss (what you refer to on this page).  Yon mon on video has a point though.  Up to say, ten years ago, I would have considered myself left-wing - with socialist leanings.  Right on.  Peace, love and all that.  (fwiw I think modern ideas of left and right are out of touch and useless in today's world - it's more about haves and have-nots.)

 

My experiences though, In Britain mostly, tell me that the 'left' has become narrow minded, pig-headed and rather 'dictatorial' with it's views.  I have experienced this myself and been labelled some rather nasty things for wanting to discuss things such as racism, equality and immigration.  It panders to minorities in the face of overwhelming majorities.  Takes offence at the slightest thing.  In short - I'm fooked off with folk who blast this rhetoric.  It's intolerant, out of touch and seems to lack the ability to reason and consider differing points of view - even though they may be wacko or otherwise.

 

There's a large irony in there somewhere . . .

 

I've even coined my own phrase for it - liberal fascism
