You guys are lucky… my dad loved what is now coolly known as Irish Trad, Jennifer Rush and ABBA. Daniel ODonnell was a bit edgy, Stu Allen referred to as radio Africa… I had a massive musical explosion when I hit high school and still taking me years to catch up

Then my dad taught me how to use the turntable and gave me an LP called 'The Beatles Ballads' that had a weird trippy sleeve, and I've been absolutely fucking hooked on them ever since.

I'll never forget nonchalently singing 'Yesterday' in the car and my dad saying "How the hell do you know all the words to that song?", and I felt dead proud. Weird what sticks in your brain. Whenever I listen to any of the songs that appeared on that LP, I can almost still hear the pops and crackles in the exact same places as the scratches on the vinyl I had. Still got it somewhere.

when i was about 12 he only had 4 Casets

So from them on was a Massive Beatles Fan 

My first Two Albums i brought was

Teenage me found Radiohead a bit wimpy.

I'd gone straight from pop compilation CDs to Korn, Machine Head, Fear Factory etc.

I've grown to appreciate them more now but at the time I'd discovered music could do this and anything softer was "shit"

I've known a few who have gone to the trouble. A costly and red tape laden exercise.

The smart ones realised that there would be some barn find gems already here. A much sounder route to take from an economic perspective.

I was that person, think you need to do 2 or 3 episodes and you will know one way or the other. 
 

It is funny and generally feel good. If it helps convert you there is a lesbian scene at some point.

Once you get into the second series it all gets very much samey and a bit boring

It's nothing groundbreaking but it's really popular because it's good wholesome fun which came out at a time where everyone was depressed during Covid.
