Was disappointed with the Inside Number 9 special

Aye, was a bit bland. It’s one of those shows you want more of, but wonder if it’s best they stop now whilst everything is such high quality.

If you go back and watch all the series of Inside No 9 there have been plenty of album filler episodes, I don't mind that because it makes the good uns shine even more.

Detecorists was most enjoyable part of a somewhat shitty xmas this year for me, as sad as that sounds.

They've said they're only doing 1 more to make it 9 series'.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned….. Bad sisters. I’m on the last episode now, a decent watch.

It’s top notch.

Enjoyed, always feels like a cameo. Talented lads.

It just felt like they thought "we have to knock something out for Christmas" and knocked something half hearted out, compared to their other stuff

The best one was the one with Sheridan Smith in, proper twist you didn't see coming

My favourite is the one set in the Swiss chalet, bit of a Tales of the Unexpected feel

My favourite was the one on the overnight train, but I haven't watched them all.

The krampus snuff film one? Yes, that was the second best

Dectorists was ok, not up to usual standard, gone fishing the same. Got bored during number 9.

Ghosts was excellent and Christmas Carole on Sky was something we all enjoyed so that was probably the unexpected highlight.

Motherland was good, but a bit depressing.

Not a vintage TV year, even from the old favs.

I thought the Blessing in Detectorists was superb

It was - that character is my favourite. It's just not the same.without the series. It wasn't bad at all but as you say probably best to leave it now.

There’s far more quality telly these days, it’s just spread more thinly and harder to uncover.

That’s the problem. There’s so much choice I sometimes just surf through. Even then, you’re often just gauging stuff based on titles.

I have help on hand, thankfully.

So do I. Wife decides what she’s watching, I can’t be arsed wrestling the remote from her grasp and it gives me the opportunity to Don my headphones and listen to some music

Depends what you like, The Bear was the best bit of TV this year by a country mile, but some it didn't do it for others.

If you missed it, don't, it's just superb.

Me too. The number of times Fogarty Jr. asks me if I'd seen something on telly and the wife chirps in with 'we wouldn't have fancied it'.
