Defending set pieces is basic training

Telling em where to stand is basics

Getting them to jump isnt so easy

I dont think folk are generally left unmarked, theyre more often just unchallenged

We dont get off the ground

Pisses me right off

Combination of lack of anticipation and communication, you improve that you stop set pieces.
Hopefully we bring in a coach as well.

Yep. He's had screws in his knees rubbing tendons which can't be immediately dealt with by surgeons due to Covid pressures according to some information from last week.

Sounds totally shit. Presumably could get worse over time too. Poor sod.

I agree with that.  We are supposed to be a team of giants at the back but we must have the worst headers won stats.

And in the opposition box we absolutely never ever look like scoring through our tall centre backs (Baptiste aside, occasionally).  Only Kioso looks capable of finding space and jumping for an attacking header.  It can make all the difference as we took a bit for granted in the Wheavers years.

To be fair we spent first 4 games using a short corner routine that ended up with Ali Crawford off side every time.

Ha ha!  I think I saw that routine twice in the 1st half of the FGR game, it was Gordon and White if I'm not mistaken (Crawford wasn't picked for that game).  I would have happily sent the pair of them back there and then so its great news that we've got rid of them, better late than never.
