Oldham???????

They scored late yes but were better than us from memory.  Every team that we lost to at home has been better than us on the day, before Crawley, creating more, looking more organised and having longer spells of controlled possession.

Under 18s got knocked out to Rochdale in that youth alliance.

like jules said, too big a jump at this stage into the first team for our under 18s

unless exceptional, they will get battered all over the place by seasoned division 4 players

George Thomasson ?

Agree on oldham

But you can give me walsall away

That game was won til we lost the plot

We easily bettered cambridge

10% is massive

Its not 0.2 goals

Its another player on the pitch for 90 minutes

Agree but we robbed Bradford at home, they missed about 3 or 4 easy chances in the second half.  Our away form has not been a problem bar one or two games (Orient, Barrow, Carlisle first half).

The home performances have been completely underwhelming. Only against Salford, Southend, Crawley and Cheltenham have we looked in control of the game, the latter two only after going a goal behind.

I think the sad reality is we are a bit rubbish. These are the worst team in our history. Good news is you don’t need to be very good to go up in this division. Just needs to find the knack of winning more than losing and I think that sits in the much discussed 10%

The fixture list doesn't concern me. We've shown we can play well against the teams up near the too, just as we've seen we can play terribly against those at the bottom.

Our result are very much down to how well or how poorly WE play rather than how good the opposition are.

Its a combination of the 2, yes we've had some decent spells against a few higher teams, but fact is we've won 7 games and only 2 are against teams currently in the top 18!

We've lost 9, all of them v current top 16 and all but 2 top half.

I'm expecting a win v Stevenage on 13th Feb and not a lot from the 5 games before but obviously an impact from new signings and a general improvement is what we're hoping for.

Nicky Adams to Oldham...I’d have thought he’d have been good for us 🤷🏽

Local barmpot too

I work with his Uncle. There’s been more than one BWfC manager who’s chased his services and he came very close once to signing. But in his opinion that ship has sailed. One of the reasons he gave was that his family are all born and bred Bolton and despite that being a pull factor for some, he wouldn’t now want to have his family, in particular his kids, getting attention and potentially grief if the move didn’t work out well.

Interesting insight that. Shame but I get it

Off topic slightly but noticable that Cheltenham had two loanees from WBA both played against us & Man City & both performed really well in both games Azas & the goalkeeper.

I know we are getting a new scout in place , but the Tobias experiment was a resounding failure & trying 'new' methods sometimes is disastrous & really the responsibility of FV & not the manager.

That young WBA keeper, Josh Griffiths, thought he was superb against us, bright future that lad.

I used to work with his uncle too, and played 5 a side with him, its a small world.  Don't know how many uncles he has mind....anyway this one is a died in the wool BW fan in his 50s, a great character.  He used to watch Nicky a lot when he was playing for Bury and Rochdale.  I remember asking him what the hell he was moving to Crawley for and it was purely down to getting a relatively fat contract.  It would have been a good story for him to play for us, his family would have been buzzing.
