Zico Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Gonna try and pick XI from XX Been thinking of this for past 15 mins, and changed it a few times. Jussi Gardner Cahill N'Gotty Bergsson Campo Djorkaeff Okocha Gudjohnsen Anelka Bench Clarke Charlton Faye Hierro Nolan Diouf SKD Doubt it would've worked as a team, but would've been pretty. Hierro was nearly replaced by pre injury Laville- Klasnic, Tomo, Fish, Frandsen should probably be in there... No Wheater or Gunlargsson! Would have to take Gudjohnsen out and put both kevins in Speed should be on the bench as well before hierro Quote

Dr Faustus Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 Again, just a quick think with kids mithering on drab Saturday (bored as fuck) opinions lads, let's share em! Midfield was hard as fuck, albeit I can't count... So best XI, worst XI? Imagine you're sat next to Merse, and Max whatshisface- tell the same Paul McGrath/Gazza anecdote and put your BL6 XI out for all to mock. Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) Dr F - your X1 looks fantastic - if it had 11 players! at the mo it only has 10 - Nobby in midfield maybe? Eidur and Anelka up front - quality Edited May 6, 2017 by Burndens Bogs Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 I'm almost certain Okocha did the same flick over someone twice that season, yet everyone remembers the one he kicked out of play. Maybe I dreamt the other one.My absolute favourite one was where he took the piss out of Roy Keane and David Beckham and then back heeled it on the half volley 40 yards to one of our players. Think there's a GIF on Twitter Quote
Eddie Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Jussi Ngotty Cahill Faye Gardner Okocha Campo Nolan Djorkaeff Anelka Davies Subs: Speed Hierro Diouf Gudjohnsen Stelios Bergsson Frandsen Quote

gonzo Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Always struggle to find a right back due to sheer quality elsewhere. So end up shoving ngotty there... Jussi Ngotty Bergson Faye Gardner Okocha Campo Diouf Youri Anelka SKD Nolan misses out for Diouf for me by a hares breath. Diouf was unplayable for a time. One of the best outlets we've ever had. He could literally hold the ball for about 15 minutes. Quote
tomski Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I always find it really hard to do this as so many have made me smile over the years: Jussi Ngotty Gardner Bergson Cahill Nolan Speed Jay Jay Youri Anelka Diouf Subs Skd Frandsen Fish Campo Clarke Ricketts Thompson Quote
Sweep Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Loved Djorkaeff too but I have no doubt that Jay Jay is the most skilful footballer I have ever seen wear the famous white shirt. Surely no doubting that he is the most skilful player to wear our shirt. Pure class. Quote
