Dr Faustus Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) So, we've just completed out 20th season in BL6; What are you favourite memories? Jay-Jay v West Ham? Fredi Bobic hat trick? Franck Passi in the midday sun? Eidur v Wimbledon? The first game under the new lights? Muamba's mosaic, before (Legend) David Wheater scored 2? Jurgen Sommer? The pitch invasion? Villa semi? West Brom in the play offs? 24 November 2007? What players stand out to you, for the right or wrong reasons? Favourite kit? We have had a true rollercoaster in the past XX... and I love it- some bemoan the atmosphere, or lack of buttered goods, but to me, its now home. The nostalgic side of me says Burnden was irreplaceable, the memories will always be magical; but the new era has witnessed some drama and dross in its relatively short history. ...or are we heading into the 20th? Just had a moment :-D Edited May 4, 2017 by Dr Faustus Quote
Biggish Dave Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Sunday was the new highlight for me. Previous to that, would have to say Ipswich, Middlesbro and West Ham survival games and Athletico Madrid in waffa cup. Well all of the European games really. Enjoyed putting a spoke in Arsenal's title hopes, enjoyed the last minute goal against Scunny. Been some crap - no more so than Tyrone Mears. Getting a hammering off the filthy reds and Chelsea are low points to an extent but losing 2-0 against Oxford had me questioning why I bother Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Quite enjoyed the first game here. Good atmosphere. Leicester; packed out and only needing nine men. Felt like a good win. Quote
L/H White Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Jay Jay's free kick v Villa, best thing i've ever seen at the reebok Quote
Zico Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 West Ham & Okocha Villa Semi Everton on the last day Plovdiv Youri & Okocha's 40 yard 1-2 Quote
Lostock Whites Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 The Okocha Rainbow flick over Ray Parlours head, in front of 28k Bolton fans. To do that skill against an incredible Arsenal team in the 95th minute. What a player. Quote
MancWanderer Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Stuart Holden's goal vs Blackburn whilst their fans were still celebrating Quote
madthatter Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 First game V Everton (robbed!) Beating Man U and Madrid Holden's goal V Rovers Seeing Okocha flip the ball over his head in the corner flag to baffle two Man City players. best skill I'd ever seen in the flesh, well that or a piece of Ginola skill at Burnden. Mark Fish's tackle on Owen Quote
QFPants Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Stuart Holden's goal vs Blackburn whilst the fat walrus was still celebrating Quote
Guest Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Not so much the onfield result, but the pitch invasion and celebration on Sunday were probably the most organic things we've seen happen since being there. Other celebrations have always felt a little forced when they were at the Reebok itself. Quote
deane koontz Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Leicester West Ham Munich And upset Arsenal fans. Quote
gonzo Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) Plovdiv away and jay jays one man show at Spurs. Both I stood there in awe thinking fuck me is this bolton wanderers we are watching here. Edit didn't realise it was just reebok haha Edited May 4, 2017 by gonzo Quote

SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I always enjoy Campo's 40-yard daisy cutter goal vs. Spurs. But Stu's goal vs. Rovers has to be the best feeling I've ever had at a game. Quote
paulhanley Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Nathan Blake having a go at Gary Pallister and the DMBs failing to score the first goal at the Reebok despite the arrogant certainty of the fans that would do so. The 4-0 smashing of Bury in the late 1990s. The 1-0 FA Cup Quarter Final win over Charlton that got us to Wembley. Bolton 4 Ipswich 1 (Bobic) Bolton 1 West Ham 0 (Jay Jay) Bolton 3 Everton 2 (celebrating European qualification and Fernando Hierro's last professional game) Bolton 1 United 0 (Anelka) Bolton 5 Newcastle 1 under Owen Coyle Bolton 1 Athletico Madrid 0 Bolton 4 Blackburn 0 under Freedman Bolton 2 Blackburn 1 when Heskey scored and Pratley got the winner within minutes. Last Sunday..... Quote

Casino Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Deffo fish pal. Best tackle I've ever seen. i think blake scoreed for us and i think it was the south africans debut Quote
Zico Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Forgot about stu holdens goal V blackburn Was Sat on back row of North stand east stand corner next to the steps, was there about 5 seasons and it's the only time I had the urge to run down to the front to try and kiss a player And in the month before that we had the games v spurs, Newcastle and blackpool so including the rovers game that was probably the most entertaining enjoyable spell of football we've had at home Quote
frank_spencer Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Getting Terry Henry so wound up he shanked a cross into the stands, to be met with a sarcastic cheer from the crowd. He responded by pointing to the champions badge on his sleeve to even louder jeers. Gudni from the half way line Watching Anelka in one of his 'fuck it i'll do it myself' moments. The joy when Sir Les scored in the last minute against manyoo, (admittedly spoiled moments later when the equalised) Quote
miamiwhite Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Henrik Pedersen's glorious miss when one on one with the Chelsea keeper........ Almost hit the corner flag and the ref gave a corner, as he thought the goalie had saved it............atrocious miss and shocking refereeing decision...... Quote
