What have the poles done? What entitlements do these groups get that others don't ?

Not specifically poles; lots of immigrants in too quickly, finish up in poor areas and making under privileged areas worse. Remember working in and around crescent road for a while. Absolute shithole with folk burning rubbish in the streets.

Mate, from my own exprience you couldn't be further wrong about the poles.

 

They are grafters to a man. I work in the most polish populated area in probably the north of England. They all work their spuds off. They are clean and tidy and look after their properties.

 

It's the English spice monkeys next door and their feral kids that spoil the party.

 

My mates hotel has 90 polish staff out of 120. They take every hour on offer. Homegrown nobheads ring in sick every weekend.

The point being made is that whoever comes into to such areas in the UK it will cause resentment and social issues; not always due to the actions of the immigrants.

That's kind of what I was getting at.  I know a lot of the Polish community in Bristol are heading back after Brexit.

Bolton chose to take extra funding to take these folk in. Councils fault how that's panned out.

Towns like Bolton have more than their share because of cheap housing, nowt to do with Cliff Morris.

As madhatter points out pal, its not one group or another. Can't say what nationalities they were, may have been poles, Estonians whatever. Fact remains that I and colleagues had to spend a disproportionate amount of time working (pissing in the wind) clearing up shitholes predominantly occupied by folk from foreign countries. One team was met with black bin liners filled with excrement being chucked into a back street by eastern Europeans.

Inevitably when you experience something like this you draw conclusions; whether they are working or not wasn't the point I was making.

Simply that too many folk have arrived quicker than the country can cope with and unfortunately if they are housed in areas already run down the problem seems to get worse.

No doubt you've encountered grafters gonzo; I've got no issue with poles (eyes opened by my visit to the national memorial arboretum), but simply that not everyone coming in shares the same social values

How it should be surely. I couldn't claim dole for 2 years when I moved here.

To claim Job seekers here you have to have paid NI for previous 2 years. Not sure about other benefits.

 

Our lass has taken ill health retirement from work. She paid in for 26 years. After 3 years she is starting to look for work and can not get job seekers. She has had fuck all as although she was too ill to do her job. She was deemed fit to work because she can dress herself so could not get disability. As she was not well did not lie and pretend she was looking for work. Now because of time passed she gets nothing.
