Casino Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 This is a fairly daft statement. Is it, really? Quote
radcliffe white Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 That’s is not a problem and most understand the reasons But if it’s true what Henry put you don’t put a date and don’t honour it that’s just cuntish Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Is it, really? Depends where you set your targets. If we told all the players you have to get promoted to get a bonus it may not have gone down too well. Anyway, Ken's got a struggle on his hands if he wants to change the way footballers' contracts are structured. Quote
birch-chorley Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) Aye, birch is a bit of a hypocrite Companies as big as his screw the small fish all the time A previous, we were paying on pro forma and the companies we supplied were paying us on 180 days or later if they fancied it Pay Henry or improve the team then pay Henry next month It's not really a difficult call I’m quite sure the firm I work for pay when as agreed, this is quite different so no hypocrisy I understand Ken choosing who to pay and when if cash flow is tight, but that’s not Henry's fault, he has a fair gripe Ken and his lad love using social media to air their grievances, look at the whole Heathcoat piece They can’t then expect nobody else to do the same Personally I’m not that bothered, I just don’t understand the rounding on Henry Edited September 6, 2018 by birch-chorley Quote
mickbrown Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 This is a fairly daft statement. How so? What other job do you get a bonus for being slightly less shit than your peers? Wherever I've worked, bonuses are paid for exceptional performance. Something above the ordinary. Hence the name Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Aye. Moreover Henry performed tremendously. Changed the season round once he came. Quote

Contact the PFA, EFL or your solicitor if you’re that arsed. To me it’s just attention seeking. Probably pissed off he wasn’t kept on. I get his gripe, but address is professionally rather than bleating on twitter like a massive mard arse. We don’t know why the payments have been delayed but we’ve just signed a load of players and blu marble is around the corner. Who knows. But KA won’t be sat in his vault smothered in gold coins like summet off ducktails. It’s just business. And it’s not Ken’s money. Quote

What’s good for the goose and all that Ken and his lad love to go public with most things, genuine gripe like the Heatcoat thing or anything else, hardly set a ‘professional’ tone themselves have they with the way they go about PR Maybe they should all give it a rest or alternatively let them all crack on and we can watch on like some sort of soap opera Quote
barrycowdrill Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 When the current players took a stand in Pre season re: the Amos situation they were rounded on for being out of order, unprofessional, unnecessary etc etc When 2 ex players are up in arms they are well within their rights? Ex’s are ex’s for a reason. Fuck em Quote
radcliffe white Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 So the guy ran his nuts off helped out and was promised money But he’s an ex so fuck him Quote
stevieb Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 So the guy ran his nuts off helped out and was promised money But he’s an ex so fuck him Pay your commitments to an ex or... pay for someone who will make you happy right here now and pay your ex next week. Quote

Boothy Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I swear to God some people would prefer this Club to fold so they can see Ken fail. Quote

The same bonuses that hadn’t been paid as of the time of Henry’s tweet. Quote
tomski Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Is it, really?Absolutley. Man on the street likes bonuses and works harder to achieve them. So do footballers Quote
tyldesley_white Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 But he said it was due on the 6th and he twitted on the 6th, not the 7th Quote

The players also will have done. They will work harder to receive the bonus. Who wouldn't? I feel your statement is cultivated as these chaps are footballers and earn loads blah blah. I've never met anyone who doesn't want to earn or make more money! Edited September 6, 2018 by tomski Quote
Tombwfc Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I know that. I find the fact that such agreements are commonplace bizarre Not really. We pay players less money in terms of their basic wage, but they make it up in very achievable add-ons. No different to transfer fees and what we've done with Doidge. Henry was a free agen brought in at the end of last September when we were rock bottom without a win. It's not hard to believe his contract was heavily incentivised. Quote
Ratwhite Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 You don't know when the first payment falls due to forest green Could be weeks, even months off And even if we paid something last week, that's only cos of the stupid Windows Ken will hang on to our cash as long as he can and focus on the present and future for the good of bwfc Which I fully support Here here. Who's Karl Henry ? Doidge Doidge Doidge £££££££ Mwah ha ha ha ha haaaaaaa Quote
birch-chorley Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I’m not anti Ken, not by a long chalk I uunderstand why he has done what he has I just empathise with Henry, I can understand why he did what he did and I think the criticism of him is unfair given the circumstances If someone owed me money, messed me about then went and paid for something big it would piss me off Quote
