deane koontz Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Is there a fixture list stating what games fall under which category? As it would appear I might have gone blind as fuck and can't find them. Quote

Wiggin, Blackburn, Leeds, Villa etc will likely be cat A Quote

waffer cup 07 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Ken's continual plea's for bigger crowds won't make a scrap of difference only winning football will increase attendances. Quote

Alf Hartigan Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 We'd be up around 18,000 if we were were in a promotion likely season. Still shit really, when you look at some other clubs, but better than the local clubs you can compare us with. Quote
stevieb Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 How smug will you feel when you've renewed your season ticket every year since Megsons millions left when the cockroaches come out of the rocks and start asking for play off final tickets. We can live in hope! Quote

Still shit really, when you look at some other clubs, but better than the local clubs you can compare us with. In modern times, when doing well, or very well, we've always been a 17-23k home attendance. When we are shit it doesn't half plummet. We seem to be between the devil and the sea at the moment. Back in the day, weather we were shite or good, you would get more walk-ups than STs going. Because of the cost its the opposite today. All seater stadia always look shite when they are half full. In years gone by there’d be a huge swing between the highest and lowest crowd whereas nowadays it’s a much more steady figure on the whole. Not something unique to BWFC or even football as it’s something that regularly crops up in rugby conversations about crowds etc. I would say our average has held up remarkably well over the last few years when you compare to the early-mid 90’s, especially when you consider the club was on an upward curve at the time. In 1976 we had 42000 on for a league game. 7 years later we opened the season in front of 3900 Quote
