birch-chorley Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 That was an atrocious performance Completely lacked any ideas I thought he made positive substitutions but even with that we didn’t look like scoring in 100 years Quote
CSBWFC Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Back to the bad old days Just lump it long to Alf Not a fan of Derik or Taylor but everyone had an off day No leader on the field Looked like we went out .. Not to lose As earlier in the season .. Poor plan A and no plan B We are in trouble as I can't see us getting a point in the next 2 games. Quote
DavidLeesMullet Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 (edited) It’s time for the owners to find a way to finance a football team fit to represent this town. When and if they do I’m more than happy to let Parky have a go- he’s earned a chance. Until then we are just living hand to mouth and hoping. Well said my friend, therein lies the problem!!! Duck Egg Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 As bad as we were, we weren't that much better against say Hull, Villa and Bristol. Birmingham actually created less than those three. Just the nature of playing to fine margins as we do. Fair play to their fans for superb backing. Put their neighbours Villa to shame with that backing Quote
Spider Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 If you'd bothered to read my earlier comments I said I didn't know. But something needs to be done before we return to the doldrums of 30 ish years ago. If we get relegated, can't see us bouncing back up again like last time. We haven't got any strength in depth. So your plan would be to get rid of the manager and hope another one with a book full of inspirational quotes is sat waiting at the training ground? Visionary. Quote
radcliffe white Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Absolutely no point in getting rid now We will just stay up imo Then pot him Quote
madthatter Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Funny how Brum fans celebrating and were doom n gloom yet we’re still above them in the table. Which is why I wont panic, yet! If Barnsley pick up form then it could well be us dropping at this rate but we seem to be able to grind out results so don't see us suddenly bombing. That said, the lack of a target man and Parkinson's tactics seem at odds. Seems like we didn't turn up tonight? Still think 45 points will be more than enough. International break not done us any favours but that is a proper gutting result. Have we ever beat a Gary Monk side? Quote
passmosster Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Needed a bit of pace down the channels against that Birmingham defence. There was no real pace up front (even with Ameobi) and we're a bit weedy there too. I'd play the Nigerian. Can't understand how he doesn't even make the bench. Quote
Guest Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Great attitude from Birmingham, well done, them Quote
Lostock Whites Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Very hard to be positive after that, we never ever seem to take advantage of a 10 man team 0 shots on target. We’ve played Leeds and Birmingham, 2 very poor sides, whilst backed by terrific support, and got a great 0 points return He might have done a good job with the resources, but Parky doesn’t half set up his teams up negatively and go for a 0-0 or 1-0. Just frigging get some balls man, and go for it, Birmingham were the worst away team in the league before today, show some fight! Jesus, some performances do anger me, but today was the worst, worse than Burton. Again, players don’t seem to turn up for the big occasion, 21k attendance, big away following, and we have no shots on target. Pathetic. Quote
glennboltw Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Bad day at the office, still 5 points clear of the drop, we move on. Quote
Kane57 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Perhaps should've brought Wilbraham on instead of Kirchhoff, but chances are we still wouldn't have been able to put a single decent ball in Quote
Marc505 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Absolutely no point in getting rid now We will just stay up imo Then pot him I have the same opinion, and he’d go with my best regards too if he was to leave us as a Championship club after all this. Probably too pragmatic a view for many, but for me we were always going to be in a relegation battle this season, 21st a great achievement. Therefore we were always going to lose a load of games including some we should or had to win, and we were never going to be doing it playing flowing football. Just stop up, we’ve shown we can do it. We’re still alive with 6 games to go which is more than I could have hoped for in Autumn. Then make a decision in summer. Quote

I thought Leeds would be easier but Bank Holiday fixture, at home, local(ish) derby - they were never going to roll over. Wolves/Derby(?) apart, we probably won't have a tougher game than tonight's. onlyoneawalker Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 (edited) Thought we fell just the wrong side of a very tight game neither keeper made a save point was a fair result. Felt very sorry for Kirchhoff looks a Rolls Royce of a player but his hamstring clearly went looked gutted. The bellend part-timers who chipped up for cheap tickets to bitch and boo and moan can fuck off back to the pub on a Saturday. We’ve followed this team thru thick and thin this season and we’ll see it through with them. COYFWM Edited April 3, 2018 by onlyoneawalker Quote
Casino Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 And only one nails it for me Had some great highs thanks to this team this season and I'm not baling out now Quote
madthatter Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Grim but Barnsley would still swap with us Aye, worst result possible in their eyes. Quote
mickbrown Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 The ref was shit, we were shitter. Got what we deserved Quote

Casino Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 (edited) We could lose every game til forest Win that and it would require Barnsley to win 3 of last 7 I don't see them winning 3 Looking for crumbs of comfort Keep reminding myself I'd have been ok with a draw Edited April 3, 2018 by Casino Quote
Lostock Whites Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Problem is, is that no matter what, we just can’t seem to win away from home. Even frigging Sunderland beat Derby 4-1 away. And now our home form is taking a tonking, minus a flukey blizzardry game against Villa. Yes we are 5 points safe, yes we have Barnsley, Burton to play away, but can we just grind out a flukey win away? Quote
MickyD Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Oh great, here come the drama queens. To be fair, we were there rather than looking at a game through the lens of a camera. We get to see things you don't ever see from your computer screen. The lack of movement, the lack of back up, the lack of leadership, the lack of fucking everything. Nervy finish to the season now. Can see us snatching some draws but I don’t know where the win(s) comes from. They all need to be 0-0 draws because I can't see where our goals are going to come from. That £6m for Madine looks very bad business to me if the ability to score went with him to South Wales. Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I’d love to know what our points return looks like when Pratley has featured vs the games he has missed (this season) Think we really miss him in the middle of the park Quote
