Based on previous trends, I’d expect most places to be in Tier 2. It’s just a matter of when. Pressure should be brought to bear now to equalise the situation across the country. If not, then Burnham is right. More financial help for the hospitality industry in Tier 3. How far would the business rate hand back go in supporting hard hit businesses, i wonder Quote

The bigger problem is with the business support scheme. There are businesses getting exactly the same support in Tier 2 that are still open for business as those in Tier 3 that are closed. That’s unfair. Quote

Winchester White Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Big pharma are known to be ruthless corrupt fuckers. They prey on the weak and fleece anyone they can. Africa especially. But this is being scrutinised by the best boffins across the entire globe. Also, if one of these companies develops something that ends up harming folk it is game over for them, they will be toast. Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Remember their comment a couple of weeks back, re selling it to someone else, if it wasn't approved quickly enough? Hard arsed. Still, what goes around and all that. Come on the Oxford vaccine. Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) Whoa whoa, when did the Govt sneak it in that the earliest review is now on the 19th Dec? When the lockdown tiers were announced on Thurs 2nd Dec & i clearly Remember Blithering Boris saying the first review would be in 2 weeks time - 16thDec. Now they've sneakily put it back 3 days to the 19th Dec (Sun) & any changes won't come into effect immediately, any change in tiers won't come into affect till the Wednesday (22 Dec) This is clearly designed to stop us stupid Northerners enjoying ourselves over the weekend (Fri 17th/Sat18th Dec) In effect they have given us Tier 3 for 3 weeks - not the 2 weeks they originally stated. Cunts to a man. Meanwhile, London (which now has a higher amount of new cases than the North West) enjoys Tier 2. Twats.........fucking fuming hun. Edited December 6, 2020 by Burndens Bogs Quote
