Cunt scored from the indirect free kick. Think it was the only time that rule was used Edited April 4, 2020 by radcliffe white

He’d picked up an injury and was on the ground but kept hold of the ball. Memory might be playing tricks though.

Traf
Shearer was a cunt, but I really liked him. Especially for going "home" to Newcastle and turning the filth down.

frank_spencer
Shearer was a massive cheat at times but still one of the greatest strikers ever. Scored every kind of goal going.
frank_spencer
The Watford play off final was especially painful as I was really excited as a kid and really hopeful we'd go up. Had really good seats and a cracking view of my dreams being crushed. It was my second visit to Wembley and I'm still yet to see us win there or Cardiff. marple whites
Thinking more about this and had some real disappointments, but for sheer anger, hatred and down right effed off, it has to be the Barry knight semi final. my emotions were all over the place driving home. We were all over the place , the bloke driving nodded off at the wheel. Regarding the game , I'm convinced foul play was involved that night , it was no coincidence Sheepshanks was high up in the F.A , and not long after Knight was refereeing in the Prem. Edit - he was actually refereeing in the premier at the beginning of that season , still a cheating cunt though. Breightmet Boy
My worst feeling at a game was England v Portugal, Germany 2006. I was convinced it was ours that cup, only to be cheated of it with the sending off. I went straight back to the hotel on my own, that was the last England game I attended. The utter Cnuts the pair of them, both reds too

Marc505
Think he'd have scored millions for them, probably wouldn't have even had to work as hard for the goals too with that kind of service. I love him me, the 6 second rule cuntery notwithstanding, his goals were just pure power. There really was no need to celebrate scoring against Bo Hansen in that 4-0 though, Alan. BWFC_LOVE
I can’t agree that he was stupid to join his boyhood club. Let’s not forget, they’d just thrown away the league, and went on to finish 2nd again the season Shearer signed. Would you rather become Bolton’s record goalscorer and have a statue outside, or a load of medals won at a team you dislike? No brainer for me. I’m not having that he’s an absolutely massive Newcastle supporter mind. How often does he get to a game?

That's might be why he never called back

Shearer was a bully. A no-nonsense bastard of a centre forward who exploited weaknesses and had a fuck you attitude towards other teams and in particular their defenders and keeper The sort who would probably think nowt of shoulder charging a keeper into the net to score a goal in a Cup Final because he wanted that winners medal. Fucking ace that type of player
Happy Wanderer
14th May 1977 Wolves beat us 1-0 at Burnden and more or less ended our chances of promotion that year. WBA pipped us and went up.

leigh white
By quirk of fate both our last games were against Bristol Rovers in the 75'76 & 76'77 seasons, both were meaningless.
