Remember, if you are unable to work from home the advice is crack on as you were but try to adopt social distancing. Plenty non essential workers have had to carry on regardless Quote

You can’t, just like you can’t social distance in a whole host of other jobs that have carried on and / or will return to work in the coming weeks No reason why a whole host of Industries will return to work yet footballers are worried about health and safety Besides, I bet it’s only a few multi millionaires at the top who are ‘worried’ about catching Coronavirus. The vast majority of professional footballers will be desperate to get back into it, fuck social distancing. 50% of league 1 & 2 footballers are out of contract next month Quote
Casino Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Birch, the advice isnt to try to distance at work It is to distance However, i do sympathise with your point Footballers aint dying from covid Theres many reasons not to play but footballers dieing is not one of them Theyre fit as fuck young athletes Quote

Rudy Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I think the no relegations is going to happen because if you relegate the teams how do you then decide who comes up? Quote

What kind of effort are Brighton, Villa etc going to put into a game though if they know they're not going down? Players won't give a fuck & will back out of any risky tackles. It will cut down any PPV figures if folk know that a game is meaningless. Premier league clubs are pigs at the trough. Quote

I don't think the money players make is a reason that they should be back playing. Let the scousers have it and agree a promotion/relegation solution. Quote

As Ani said on here, look at funerals - if I (and thousands of other families) can bury our relatives with only half a dozen people in attendance, why should a game be allowed to carry on? If we stay up, great, but in reality it’s not about that. Quote

Would it give you full confidence? Not just football, but anyone with the virus undertaking vigorous exercise pumps out lots more of it than when at rest. That would increase risk from inhaling it by other participants. I just can't see how it's feasible at the moment, unless they took everyone away to somewhere like st George's, and isolate/quarantine them for a couple of weeks to ensure they're virus free before starting. Farrelli Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 It's not feasible to consider playing IMO. I've just heard Harry Redknapp interviewed on 5 Live and he nailed it. Lower or mid table Prem Teams players have no incentive to risk playing. Neutral venues or other solutions are flawed and will not be agreeable to many teams. It is looking like null and void. Quote

Quarantine conditions are the only feasible option. But it’s a major operation. There are so many complications and one thing could scupper it. Bundesliga thought they had nailed it then 3 players got it. Im not too concerned about me getting it, but passing it onto my wife or daughter gives me a sick feeling. Plus aren’t they struggling to give PPE to frontline staff? How they going to do it with hundreds of staff and players. Takinh resources off the NHS for football to resume is morally wrong to me Null and void it. Quote
