I fail to see how any lower division team can play without crowds.  Its not like we're talking 10 games to finish the season, if they start a new season that's a commitment to 46 games with potentially no gate income and the need to get loads of new players on longish contracts, and get them all tested every week?  Not going to happen.

Me personally I think crowds will be back around September time on a reduced capacity basis, but yes even that will hit most lower league clubs

the days of the longer contracts will be done be loans and kind of rent a player set up imo

Only if 24 clubs begin the season in a division.

Agreed, its by no means certain there'll be 24 teams by then.  The mess would come if the season starts behind closed doors, or heavily reduced crowds, and a few clubs go to the wall mid season.  Ideally every club would be presenting a business plan to the EFL to prove they can survive the season before they are included in the fixture list. Impractical though in the time that would be available between deciding when/how to restart and actually starting.  The EFL is going to be a soap opera for the next year or 2, it would justify open top bus parades just for being in existence in 2022 never mind for winning anything.

Southend fined for late payment to players twice this season and given a 3 point deduction, suspended to middle of next season for fielding an ineligible player!

Unbelievable scousers preoccupying themselves with United when they were shit and Liverpool ruled Europe.

Utd supporters would never stoop to such stuff.

They'd prefer people to forget they had banners with 'Shankly 81' & 'Hillsborough 89' at Goodison

It seems that from June 17 - July 2 there are ten matches free on the BBC or Pick that don't involve Liverpool. I'm quite looking forward to watching some of the relegation battles and FA cup ties

Behind closed doors is Barrow; first game of the season

Was thinking actually, when the police get together with football people to discuss fixture lists and potential flash point games, whether they'll look to shove everyone's most tasty looking fixtures to early in the season for 20/21 while they're still behind closed doors.

First 5 away games next season Tranmere, Barrow, Mansfield, Port Vale, Salford.

Mansfield is an orrible orrible place. To be honest though looking at the current L2 teams bar FGR (and who knows Vince might want a go), you could make a case for everywhere to have potential for a bumpy ride. Definitely big cheese.

Maybe Bradford will reignite that non existent Twitter rivalry again.

Barrow will be a big gay love in.

All the others can have a pop if they want.
