Think there is a more people now starting to support just stopping the season and starting again next year. The longer the lock down the more this will grow.

I am. Seems trivial talking about a restart at this current time.

Yeah the letter from the EFL sounds crazy when it talks about the integrity of the competition on the same day we are talking about 888 deaths.

Aye. Also promoting football on the tele as a fun alternative could well be the signing of their death warrant for the future of the EFL. I couldn’t quite believe it.

If Liverpool are seen to be denied to be winning the league then we’re going to hear about it for a whole lot longer than if they’re allowed to see it through and win it. Lesser of the two evils.

Also think its naive to think sticking games on the box wont lead to knuckledraggers mobbing up to watch it

Aye, that to

I was more on the prospect of a dozen in somebodies front room watching it on the plasma on the wall

Clubs should get together and refuse to play after the scheduled last day of the season.

Glad you have clarified what you meant as I thought you had been on the razzle AGAIN

That’s a cert some will still go to grounds

Yeah imagine if you had a huge promotion or relegation defining game, there would be loads of fans wanting to be near the ground and/or near their mates or just fellow fans.  If we were playing that Peterborough or Forest game in these times I would just want to be able to 'smell' the Macron to bring me closer to the action if we won.  Multiply that several fold for the likes of Leeds or Liverpool winning their leagues.  Which means police would be required for preventative measures.  Its not happening.

Plug all the data into a computer and finish the whole thing virtually, do a big initial catch up and then do the fixtures on the days they would have been played.

Start next season as if it was normal even if there's limited crowds or behind closed doors - if we needed to just let upper tier ST holders go to a few games they would be able to operate 10m social distancing with no problems.

Integrity of the league will play second fiddle to financial viability of clubs very very soon. This season ain’t finishing via football.

nul and void or call every game a draw and go with promotion/relegation via that are the only 2 options I see

I actually like this idea.

Champ man for the end of the season.

Some teams have played less games. How do you explain to them that they can't go up, or that they are going down?
