FrancisFogarty Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Twenty staff made redundant due to their relegation to L2 according to club statement. Quote
radcliffe white Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020  Not the employees fault but fuck them Quote
snowball Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 sack the lot. part time tin pot bin dipping gobby cunts. Quote
Casino Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Be interested to know the nature of the jobs but if they're full time, "proper jobs" it's a sad do Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 It seems a suspiciously high number to me considering they’re back to exactly where they were 12 months ago. Even then, 20 full-time staff is a huge percentage of an operation of their size. Quote
Casino Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Hence my point If it's turnstile ops, still not great but at least folk arent looking for a job Quote
Steejay Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Smoke and mirrors by Palios.  He’s found an excuse now to execute what he needed to do. Tranmere, shithouses, pfft... Quote
Norpig Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I got abused by a load of Tranmere fans on the train on the way to their cup final at our place so fuck the lot of them. They weren't so noisy on the way home though 😄 Quote
Ghana White Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Surely the club going up to replace them will make a similar amount of jobs? It's all emotive victim stuff. I don't want anyone being made unemployed but they were in the bottom 3, they can't be allowed to stay up because they haven't planned properly for going down. I'd have thought the jobs are more down to the pandemic. Tranmere fans have embarrassed themselves on Twitter Quote
gonzo Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 My lad was mascot for their game at our place. I’m 100% if that hadn’t have been the case we wouldn’t have beaten them that day, the way he ran on the grass before the game altered the way the ball bounced and changed the course of the game. My son relegated Tranmere. You all owe me pints. He’ll have a rollover hotdog (without butter) Quote

I'd have thought the jobs are more down to the pandemic. Tranmere fans have embarrassed themselves on Twitter I think they’re being very creative with it. We’ve had a bigger financial drop than anyone, going from Premier League to being in League One (and minus the parachute) and didn’t come our with any of this. The drop between League One and League Two is probably the smallest of the lot, and likewise the rise between the two is never enough to be generating 20 full-time jobs. The odd couple of match day turnstile ops, litter picker and burger flipper can all go and work at the expanded Anfield. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 nail on the head here... they are portraying themselves as victims Quote
Burnden Pies Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 How shit are they if we relegated them haha!! Fantastic. Quote
Spider Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 "Failing business cuts cloth accordingly" Not much of a headline, is it? Quote
MickyD Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Blaming relegation for job losses? I'm sure it's gone on all the time but why is it suddenly newsworthy? Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Palios now on about suing the EFL, could explain the job cuts, if so what a cnut Quote

The league relegated us before a ball was kicked. At least Tranmere had a chance. They were so bad against us they should be asked to leave the league system again Quote
Casino Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 The league had a set of rules and we broke them and were penalised The league didnt have anything in place for what has gone on and made stuff up Im not saying palios will win, but id be fuming if i was him Us and southend were goners They still had every chance Anyway, im happy enough they are down, but it doesnt mean i have to think its fair Quote
paulhanley Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Tranmere are exactly where they belong. I'm sure they're secretly enjoying wallowing in a simmering sense of victimhood but they're below the sale basement division fodder with one decade of glory (the 90s). Fuck em. Quote
