paulhanley
I live 170 miles from Bolton now and haven't walked down Manny Road for ages. Last time I did this place was one of the last vestiges of the old match day Manny Road still in place. Great to hear its still doing its thing. deane koontz
Used to get sent there for work orders along with that butty shop when i was 17. Then i'd kill half an hour wandering aimlessly around Asda letting all their food go cold. Those were the days ☺️ Never actually bought anything from there. Sweep
£1.60 for 6 pies, that's less than 27p each, I dread to think what the ingredients are.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 2, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted October 2, 2020 Cheap because they're cheaply made. Pastry thick and hard etc. Get what you pay for, including heart burn.
boogs
Green jacket is reet. I hadn’t been in there for god knows how many years but was passing last year and thought I’d get a pie for my dinner. In monetary terms they may be cheap but I bloody paid dearly for it for the rest of the day in heartburn.

ErnestTurnip
Used to know the lass who runs it and her sister when we were younger, both nice girls back then. Did think about trying to cop off with one of em once, could have been a pie millionaire if I'd gone through with it. They are pie millionaires by now you reckon ? MancWanderer
Being a Burnden-sider I have to admit that I never went in. If it was an ales and pie day it was in A/Bridge and then travel down to The Haulgh. Plus, folk that I knew said that they were rank. No idea though

I remember, at the height of the mad cow disease panic, asking the old dragon what was in the sausages. "I no idea, next please" was her succinct answer
