Sweep Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 I think it's a given that the LFTs aren't always accurate, hence the need for PCR confirmation. That being said, I also suspect that a lot of people are too fucking gormless to actually take the LFTs properly at home. Quote

athywhite1958 Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 I tried to get a drive in PCR test but all the North West is booked up (so it says on the NHS website) so I have ordered PCR test through the post Quote

stevieb Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Just read my favourite comment on the daily fail comments section through all of covid yet: 'this is the longest anything made in China has ever lasted' Quote

Think you're being harsh there, they're easy enough to do, it's just a question of how far you push it down your ear that I think might be the issue Quote

Not saying its you but I think too many people have selective 'covid fear' and avoid the walk throughs. "I'm not getting out of my car for a test I might get covid"... but you've just spent the past 4 weekends on the piss down the pub hugging randomers... Yet the sterilised every 5 mins testing tent will be what you get it from. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 I didn't know you could just walk up for one (with an appointment - old and naive) Quote

Traf Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 If you can't get a test, put your left thumb in your mouth and your right thumb up your arse. Then switch them and if you don't taste the difference, you've got Covid. Quote

A friend over here had 7 negative LFTs in a row then had a PCR which was positive. At the Test Centre where she had the PCR they did an LFT as well and that was Negative. There are a lot of reports over here that many of the LFTs are not picking up Omicron. Quote
