I thought it was all about the data? ”Overall, the picture is clear, albeit incredible: the whole coronapanic debacle has happened because the government has repeatedly capitulated to demands and threats made by unions. If those demands and threats hadn’t been made, Britain would have remained free.” Teaching union was flatly ignored throughout.. they lost a lot of face with members, and in turn a lot of members. Guest Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Official Scottish Government figures have now been released giving the total number of patients hospitalised with the 'Omicron Variant' who required Intensive Care treatment: one Quote
Whitestar Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Me & Mrs Whitestar have tested positive all over Christmas, she is a lot worse than me (no booster) and we have both felt shit. CPR test NYE confirm me as positive and still positive this morning on LFT. To be honest i don't feel that bad now although i wouldn't say i was 100% tip top, now when the question comes which it will tomorrow, do i go to work? I am x3 jabbed since October and work involves visiting peoples homes and places of work. Personally i don't think i should but will others think otherwise?, Or are people still understanding and cautious?. Quote

The isolation period definition has more than one potential start time. Check on the government website, or call 119. To be honest, you could have bothered been ill with something else, and just caught covid later, so perhaps you should start your isolation from the positive test date. Moreover, if you're a bit rough, stay off. Nowt to be ashamed of. Quote

I'd leave it till testing negative miself if you're going into people's homes Quote
fatolive Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 When my daughter had Covid in the summer, we were told not to do any tests for 90 days after as a positive result could still be picked up. now you need to do a test to show negative after isolating. not sure what’s changed there ? Quote

Once you've had the virus - you can still return a positive LFT test for quite a long time. Way past when you stop being infectious. Quote
stevieb Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 (edited) If you've done 10 days and have no symptoms 111 say crack on. If you've still got symptoms get back in your box. Edited January 3, 2022 by stevieb Quote
only1swanny Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Made the call today to cease my p/t work unless its an empty property. I'll continue again in February. Had 3 cancellations last week after positive lfts.. which I'm glad they were honest enough, but last thing I want right now is to take it home to Mrs Swanny. Quote
Spider Posted January 3, 2022 Author Posted January 3, 2022 I feel like shite with it I have to say. Quote

Spider Posted January 3, 2022 Author Posted January 3, 2022 At the risk of sounding repetitive, folk isolating is now our biggest enemy. Also, every kid is being tested on the way in to school this week and it will be carnage. Hopefully omicron burns out fast. Get the feeling it will. Quote

Think theres 2 people I know that haven't had it. You'll get it no matter what, its absolutely everywhere at the minute, 4 pubs round here are closed. This half in half out bollocks doesnt work. Only full lockdown stops it running riot. Not that I want that obvs. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Man down, feel like i've been hit with a train, felt shit on NYE and gradually got worse, 2 LFT's positive, waiting for result of PCR to come back, I've avoided it for nearly 2 years so I haven't done bad #badflu Quote
