  1. Not too difficult really with Rooney as your boss
  2. No I expect them to get a minimum of 15 years and a goos shoeing every day...... but hey im just an old fashioned gammon

Looks like he's got a cracking cock on him as well
  5. Sentencing for noncing and violent crimes are a joke in this country. Likely do more time getting rumbled flogging dodgy fire sticks
  6. that's some payout he'll get in the next 6-12 months
  7. That word complicated nails it. With 2 inverted non-widemen and a no 10 plus a deep lying possession hungry Sheehan it's just all so complicated. We just don't need 4 lads who there who want to take 5 touches each and keep possession. Each attack is so slow because every fuckers wants the ball for half an hour with each pass. Sound like a broken record but watch Wrexham or even us under Parky. Simple effective and well drilled is what gets you up. We have toal taking 5 touches who gives it to Sheehan who does 3 pivots and goes wide to ACD or Gale who take another 6 touches who gives it the 10 who wants another shit load. It's just all too much.
  8. Not been on here over the Xmas period but we look like a totally different side from the one earlier in the season. Even in August/September when we weren't necessarily picking up results we looked threating in games and controlled a lot of matches. Last 6 games or so has been very dare I say it Evatt-esque. What has caused is to look so sluggish in these games? Oppostion keeping ACD going down the line instead of cutting in and doubling (even tripling) up on him should create more space for others but the passing is so much slower. A lot of times it feels like we give the ball to Sheehan or ACD in the hope that they make something out of nothing. I'd love to see us swap Gale and ACD over and have them go outside their fullbacks and get some crosses into the box instead of cutting in and getting a shot off a floating an aimless ball in. So many crosses end up at the wingers and the strikers almost miss out completely.
  9. I think he’d make a great 10 IF he stopped dropping deeper to help out in midfield which is his natural instinct - we have nobody better at arriving late in the box for the pull back. Similarly Sheehan needs to stop dropping back taking the ball deep off the CBs as that leaves only 7 players in front of him. We need both to hold their positions and a way to beat the forward press with a pass to them rather than them coming back to collect.
  10. Confidence in attack looks to have gone after failing to score against Mansfield. Happens to all teams but times like this you need a set piece to get by or galvanise things and we don't seem capable. Maybe that corner shouldn't have been disallowed to be fair but with how many we get should be scoring more. I play for a very low level amateur team and we have 2 lads that can consistently put in better corners than any of our lot, on much worse pitches as well. Can't get my head round 10 pros being that standard. Pissed me off hearing SS talk about the fixture pile up. Biggest squad in the league with hardly any injuries against the likes of Doncaster and Northampton. Shithouse excuse.

To reunite him with Michail Antonio?
  12. One for you mate 😉
  13. He came on as a sub in the 68th minute against Bristol City in November. #fredsdadstatto
  14. Clive Walker scored against us every single time he pulled on a shirt against us. That was a grim day. Despite being early May (I think it was Bank Holiday Monday) it was dull, wet and cold and so much was riding on the game. I think it was our penultimate league game. Loads of sides in the Div 2 relegation dogfight including us and Chelsea. The game got quite a way in to the second half at 0-0 before Walker scored his winner. Sickener - but it didn't relegate us and we still had a chance at Charlton the following weekend, which we blew. As for the trouble, my main memory is the same as Jeep - the Chelsea loons who suddenly appeared in the Manny Road North Stand at the back of all the regulars, who were themselves (as always) up for trouble. There were pockets of Chelsea all over the place. Notably they were in the Burnden Stand hurling seats down to the BWFC fans in the paddock. Definitely not a massive following - maybe not even 2000. But most of them were there for the off-field activities every bit as much as those on the mudbound pitch. Of course at Burnden they found the mither they were after. I also have a memory that given segregation had broken down it was chaos outside afterwards amidst the usual dystopian scenes and sounds of police dogs and riot vans up the Manny Road. If the technology existed to do vlogs in those days this day would have had millions of views. The thing that was always so odd about days like this was that the bloke on the Burnden tannoy often just completely ignored the general atmosphere of threat and intimidation while making cheery birthday announcements and playing chart music. Not many comparisons to be made with BWFC of late 82/3 and of December 2025/January 2026 but one is valid - scoring a goal was/is a rare thing!
  15. I hope this random bloke on Twitter is correct because the alternatives aren't so great.
  16. Gets even worse 🤔
  17. This is where the appeals needs to be looked at, you get your sentence and that’s it, if the judges are supposed to know what they’re doing then what’s the grounds for appeals? Nobody shagging an 11 year old girl should get the right to appeal in my eyes. No doubt some will say “human rights” but human rights can get to fuck in situations like this

  19. Evatts Blackpool got beat by Bradford on Sunday described Bradford as ‘nothing fancy, just the basics of football set plays, running hard and second balls’. Clearly his mentality has not changed. Hopefully ours has, but games over Christmas imply we we have forgotten some of the basics. Instead of moaning about pitches and too many games we should be getting back to those basics. Mansfield away SS changed things as they were expected to be physical, changed the team at Donny because of the pitch. I hope he is not going into a defensive mindset as it gives players a cop out. We were shit at Donny because the players were shit even mentioning the pitch is shit. Just focus on the basics and with the quality we have the results should come. Over complicating things rarely solves a problem. Edit - By defensive mindset I mean how we assess performances and criticism, not how we line up ! https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportlatest/25738552.blackpool-boss-ian-evatt-thought-bradford-citys-win/
  20. It’s a poor league except Cardiff… anything can happen.
  21. Indeed, a genuine second striker that gets around the no 9, picks up the second balls off diagonals or crosses would be far more use. Effective enough last we got out of this league and had (briefly) Clayton and Alf off Madine, with an attacking midfielder like Vela who wanted to get into the box. We didn't need to yearn for the magical 20 goal striker with that set up, 4 got 9 and Beevers/Wheater got double figures between them. Football's moved on now and they all want to appear as cerebral, data driven project managers in black roll necks, trousers and white soled pumps.
  22. Isn’t a number 10 to unlock quality world class defences, this is league one and maybe more joy punting long, scrapping for second balls and getting the ball forward earlier, wingers hitting byline and pulling it back….. let’s just get out of this league and then think about fannying about with a number 10.
  23. Burstow was looking to run in behind quite a few times but we decided to go backwards instead.

Also worth noting the results have gotten worse the more game time Sheehan has played. The inverse of Cogley. Honestly though i dont think the issues with this team originate in the playing staff, i think it's purely tactical.

We've currently got the second best defence in the league, and we've not had a goalkeeper make a save in half a season. I've been as critical of us as anyone, but someone in that defence has to be good.
  27. You get treated less favourably for non payment of council tax......this country is run by a cesspit of corrupt, child abusing grifters from all parties.
  28. My quarterly reminder to come off Twitter. Anything worth knowing is posted / discussed on here and @burnden has the team news on here about 12 seconds after it’s released. You really don’t miss anything other than mindless shite that winds you up.

As an athletics coach and fan it makes my piss boil. Totally unsuitable for football but our powers that be couldn't manage to make the sort of proper use of it every other major nation does
  31. Was just about to say that, have come off there, stupidity off the scale. Wailing about the new lad because he's not instantly going to bump our CBs into the stiffs and demanding we get Wilson 🙄

  37. That edit 😁 ”WAARRRRRAAAMMMRRRRR”
  38. We won at least 2 of the headers, one disallowed goal, one just wide, can't remember the other one but if felt close to a goal a chance. That's a massive improvement on for eg the 10 first half corners v Mansfield when I'm fairly sure none of them resulted in any sort of effort on goal, happy to be corrected if anyone can remember one.
  39. Give it to Rooney, club leg end.
  40. Yes we also had a chuckle at Cissoko going back towards our goal, doing a stepover! Its like a nervous tick, it just happens, I'm sure he doesn't realise he's done it half the time.
  41. You’ll all be pleased to know that this isn’t going away. But but but they pulled a flag down and sang songs 🙄
  42. The argument is more whether that is a good way to play.
  43. Christie is bloody awful. Looks like he's playing in vets league. ACD misses the support and energy Cogley provided.
  44. This is some level of cognitive disarray. It’s even got recalcitrants in it ☺️
  45. "Proper" Chinese food, in the main is nice - they do eat some weird shit though. They will though, as you say, ultimately become the #1 Superpower, they've been planning for a long time, and they'll fuck the rest of the world over when it happens. They have been clever so far though, as the West has slowly been slitting its own throat and has put them near the top of the pile even before they attempt to flex. Happily, I'll be long gone before it happens though. Some Chinese birds I've met are absolutely stunning, sadly, there is no middle ground, either 10/10 types or basic 1/10 grim slitty eyed tofu breathed munters
  46. We are doing fine thanks R. Total comparison to this time last year which showed us even more how precious life is. So now, even more, if we can do it, we are doing it!!
