  1. I think that is bang on there's been plenty games that were easy to get a ticket for, I know because I got @DirtySanchez a ticket for most of them - i.e. the ones down south there aren't that many folk ike you and @radcliffe white who do all those aways up and down the country whether it's weekend or midweek, it would never be a closed shop so it's quite easy for the smaller hardcore to build up points that would mean they have more chance of getting tickets for the big/local ones, and still be scope for the more casual day trippers to get one hardcore (like you) should not be going head to head with one or two games a season folk (like me) for play off semi final tickets

  2. Oo eck, play off time. When you're too close emotionally to the action it's difficult to offer a reasoned opinion ( like you lot are ) so if I may here goes from a pie eating perspective. I'll try to be as unbiased as local rivalry allows and I'm going to have a flutter to keep my interest alive so to speak so here's my pick. Barnsley...Great start to the season but what a shitshow since including a change of manager. You lot will stroll past um with a 3 goal advantage over 2 legs ( 2-1 and 3-1 ). Tuther match is a much closer job. All teams fear momentum and Oxford have it just now. Peterborough have the mentality that if you score 3 we score 4 but Oxford are organised and this one will go either 1 of 2 ways. Posh click into goalscoring mode and run away with it or, Oxford nick a tight double header which is my choice. ( 2-1 Oxford then 2-2 at Posh ). Reet final...another very close match. I wouldn't be heartbroken if Oxford nicked it as that would guarantee us 6 points off you lot next season but I honestly ( through gritted teeth ) think you lot edge it 3-2. There's a fiver going on this series of scores. So , in conclusion if this lot comes to pass our paths may not cross for the foreseeable which I've no doubt breaks your feckin hearts but either way enjoy and al si thi.

  5. Fuck me, some of the negativity on here is nothing short of embarrassing. We ALL know the likelihood of us being promoted today is virtually zero ... But there IS a chance. ... But we have folk stating as if it's a fact that it won't happen. Almost as if they don't want it. Miserable cunts.

  11. He had tickets and transport sorted but bottled it at the last minute claiming moonflu. To be fair the Sea of Tranquility would have been anything but if he'd have turned up. He'd have been chucked out before half time. History could have been different. Billions round the world tuning in to the most momentous announcement in human history. James Burke leading the BBC commentary - "are there he is, there he is. Undies is at the bottom of the ladder" "That's one small step for a mon...Buzz, why are you pulling the ladder up you cunt? Don't turn the fucking engines on. If I don't get this one it's a month till the next Lunar Module. And that'll probably be a replacement bus service, you know what them striking bastards at NASA are like. Come back; I'm touching cloth here and I've filled me space nappy as it is. Oh and look, some fucker's clamped the lunar rover for parking on a double yellow crater. I could be watching Crossroads now with a keg of Party Seven... ". Tragic postscript a year later when the UN vote to leave the area untouched by later explorers. Partly to preserve a site of global importance for humanity as testimony to human will and endeavour, and partly just in case the mithering fucker is in a state of suspended animation and would be revived when brought back..."moon? No way, I wasn't there. I was in Skegness that weekend and I've got witnesses to back me up".

  12. Pitiful by Barnsley leaving empty seats when they won't fill them and we will. This isn't me just having a gripe at Barnsley, I said the same about us initially v Pompey, but then we did fill most of the rest of the South stand so it actually turned out to be the right decision. Whereas we know Barnsley will not take a single seat in that away stand, instead thousands of football fans will effectively be locked out of watching one of the key games in the season. If the EFL can't sort stuff like this they aren't fit for purpose

  16. in fact, more so, as fuck knows what they think they can achieve by supporting Palestine here in the UK. Let's be honest, any of these type of "march" are pretty much designed to be antagonistic in some way or other, hence there will invariably be trouble.

  17. Story of season for me Yet again I'm massively confident as on paper we should have no problem dealing with this properly However Feel like I've been here quite a few times now this season And it never ended up how I anticipated it would

  24. I know someone who went to Barnsley in the play-offs last season. It was his first away game for over 2 years. Plenty of folk put in the hard yards last season and barely missed a game, home and away, but couldn't get a ticket. Do you think that's right? I only go to a handful of aways each season and I don't think it's right that I have the same chance of getting a ticket as someone who goes to pretty much every away game.

  28. I really don’t get this FFP and salary cap bollocks. If some billionaires want to spunk their money up the wall, why not? If a club goes tits up through bad financial management, it’s tough shit.

  30. That shouldn't mean the fears of many Jewish people can simply be dismissed or that they can't be treated with respect in their own right without having to be placed in the context of other suffering Case in point: A Jewish member of the public recently recounted and incident where they'd be verbally abused by Pro-Palestinian protestor on the Tube- they claimed they hadn't done anything to provoke any reaction at all except to be visibly Jewish Yet Jess Phillips MP immediately dismissed, or cast doubt upon, the incident because "she'd also been on the Tube with protesters previously and they hadn't been abusive to her" Well, that might be true, but she's unlikely to have said or done anything they didn't like People who would ordinarily be at pains to defend perceive injustices against people of an ethnic minority background so often tend to behave differently when it concerns Jews

  32. As much as I’d love us too, I don’t think we’re selling out our home tie with a 27.5k full house on a Tuesday night. And I can’t see Barnsley selling more than 3k. An 18/19 big crowd at Barnsley with 5k whites and a 24/25k home tie with 3k Barnsley and us on 4 sides, seems sensible, gives us an edge and lets everyone who wants to see the game attend.

  33. People saying we should agree 4 or 5 k tickets each are crazy. Given them the lowest number possible it is a massive advantage to have extra fans for the home game when second leg is at home, they can have 3 blocks in upper tier. We can our fans on all 4 sides. This lot are in terrible form we need to go there and give them fuck all then get them back home and batter them. Need a strong ref that stops them kicking Sheehan off the pitch. Worse thing we can do is have the first 50 minutes of the league at their place and be 2 down.

  34. I actually thought that Madley reffed it well in the first half. Shame he had to be replaced because the chap in the second half was just your typical shite L1 ref. Wouldn’t mind seeing Madley as the ref in one or more of the play off games - you can tell that he’s reffed at a higher level because he’s just a bit calmer and more sensible whereas the rest are power hungry wankers that are trying to prove themselves.

  36. I told my lad to stop stressing. I said it would be totally different if Derby were not winning. I told him it made no difference to the playoffs. Hope I’m right.

  37. Evatt played it really well today, but I don’t expect he’ll get much credit. He was on a hiding to nothing. Play it cautious and Derby Fuck up he loses. Go hung-ho gets injuries and fucks us up he loses. He did right. Maghoma wasn’t 100% he didn’t risk him. He went for it in the first half. Knew it wasn’t going to happen, made 5 subs. We put in a performance, kept the fans happy, kept the squad motivated and injury free. What more could he have done?

  38. Spot on there. Treat such things lightly, as I said before, but there does seem to be a desire to constantly put the country down.

  46. Given how precious folk have got I am gonna keep doing it. I really hope we do it but as it is so unlikely I want our focus to be on the play offs. Would have preferred us to be up already and not have fucked up such a position.

  47. Majority of us know the reality. Im looking forward to; cheering the boys on, beers on an away day, atmosphere of 2.5k whites and hopefully a moral boosting win to take us into play-offs. Don’t mock those having a football dream though. Football has enough problems without taking those away.
