Carlos Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 How you miss it, fuck knows. Iโve been to the place, seen the river, itโs hardly the Thames or even the Ribble. Embarrassing policing. RIP. Quote

The private company with their specialist equipment couldn't find her- so is it not their fault? One of the specialists spoke at one stage about the possibility of tidal flow actually being able to bring a body back up a river, several times as it ebbs and flows.ย I don't know whether that's possible at the point where she's been found, but that's the point- we don't know enough to make such judgements.ย Do folk remember the chap who's body was found in leverhulme Park a few years back? We had divers from all over greater Manchester arriving down the road from me, searching Blackshaw Brook and all over. It was months before he was found- by a member of the public- and there was no river involved neither. Quote

leigh white Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 So tragic, at least her body was found and she can have a decent send off. Quote
gonzo Posted February 20, 2023 Author Posted February 20, 2023 The private search team dudes reckon they searched that bit where she was found.ย If shes not been put there she must have timed the tidal flow perfectly. Out while they are looking then drifted back in. ย Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Found in the reads- the sonar equipment searches the river bed, but doesn't work in reads. Makes sense, and apparently he explained this at time, but he also made the statement "if she's in the river, we'll find her". Perhaps not the best choice of words with hindsight, but none of this will bring her back. ย Quote
