I have a feeling we will be up with a centre half on loan. Prob a young CB from a prem club. We have to get someone In with all the bodies we are missing.

Not happy with prices (is it £30?) and on the back of losing at home to Exeter. 

Also they've been here more than most - recent league cup, FA Cup and play off on top of league games.

We paid £500k for Vic, if he's a proven L1 player (as much as Vic was), it doesn't seem that excessive, but I haven't seen him play so I've no idea.

obviously if its on twitter it must be true

my opinion, if the deal is pay 500k in summer as was reported, no way is he going to barnsley

Ian Evatt has not ruled out him being involved against Barnsley

The picture is better now than what we first feared at the back. Toal should play, Forrester might and Taylor definitely in the reckoning.

But we'll have the scenario I really didn't want Saturday. A defence without the experience and leadership of both Jones and Santos.

Could be a goal fest! Let's hope its no longer than a month without Santos and Jones comes back unscathed soon.

This defence has a few free hits for me  now. Not ideal when there's some big games ahead, but anyone expecting a flawless defensive performance Saturday is wide of the mark for me.

But we can score more than them, so bring on the goal fest!

We've conceded 5 goals total in last 10 games, of which 2 were against premier league opposition.

Ricardo's a loss but can't see why we're suddenly going to be keystone cops trying to win 4-3.

Agreed we cut the defence some slack while we're without any "leaders/experience", I'm unclear how that will help us score more than usual!  We're aren't full of goals currently (aside from Carlisle), and Barnsley don't strike me as expansive goal machines, I'm expecting the usual low-scoring, physical game against these and if any team scores more than 1 they'll win (IMO).

Played 22 times last year in the championship for Millwall before getting injured.

Played 7 times for Hungary(?) in 2023.
