                  Baxter

      Toal.    Taylor.  Iredale

Cogley.    Sheehan.  Ashworth

        Maghoma.  Dempsey

              Charles. Vic

Mentioned on other thread, the bench from week to week is going to be very hard to select and some are going to feel very hard done to not being in the squad. Need to be ready for some Coleman less sub benches, starting today I reckon.

Difficult starting xi to predict today and suppose it will be a horses for courses with a Tuesday Saturday coming up,  add thomason and geth (if returning fit) into the fold from Tuesday and it becomes very interesting.

Roll on 2.00

Foot to the floor now and knock teams out of it 1 by 1.

Can see Derby falling by the wayside. It'll be us, posh and pompey all the way

Really? I actually think it could be Pompey who fall off and Derby and Posh who are our main challengers but as long as we’re in the top two I don’t really care who the others are.

Looked at a few of the proposed line ups suggested on here for today's game and don't agree as I think that Collins will start. He's match ready and cost 3/4 of a million quid. You don't pay that kind of cash to sit someone on the bench. He doesn't need time to adapt and probably already faced Barnsley this season, so I think and hope he slots right in immediately with Dion with Vic on the bench

I get what you're saying but we paid £500k for Vic and turned down a bid which presumably wasn't lower, and nobody would take less than £750k for Charles would they?  So for me Collins is just another of the strikers, IE rates them all, if he didn't they wouldn't be here.

Usual front two to start I expect.  Vic was still settling in to the style of football months after his move so I think its asking a lot for anyone to sign on Thursday and be familiar with the style of play/what his role is after 2 days. He won't know half the players names yet!

Yeah I’d go with that and we have some great options on the bench

I'm wondering if we might see Coleman today given the opposition

If we turned down a bid of more than £500k for him, it was a bad decision.

I agree on keeping Dion and Vic but how about starting Collins in the No10 role and leaving out Maghoma who although good on the eye creates little.

We have this season to complete. Unless we had a good one lined-up as replacement he was going nowhere, (almost) whatever the price.

Big game.

Beat them and they won’t catch us up IMO.

For them to do that we would then have to go on a run that would mean no automatics anyway.

Lose and they’re bang in it.

A draw wouldn’t be a disaster.

Wouldn’t be starting any of the new ones yet, especially Taylor as there’s so much to learn from each other in training when playing in a defensive unit. I do genuinely think we’ll win though and so do the bookies, which surprised me a little.

                    Baxter

    Forrester Toal Iredale

Cogley                              Ashworth

                    Sheehan

    Dempsey               Thomason

             Vic               Charles

I like Cogley but I'm not sure he's good enough to play wing-back and centre-half 😃

I was concentrating too much on putting the spaces in the right place 😂😂

He has, twice ... sort of.

2-1 to Barnsley at Oakwell 13 Jan. He was sub. Came on at 80m. Didn't score.

12 August, home. 1-1. He played 89m. Had one shot. Didn't score.

I'd be astonished if he started him.

I pretty condifent we'll start with Dion and Vic but I wouldn't be astonished if Collins starts

We've not signed him to sit on the bench

And he’s our player, rather than a loanee.

He hasn’t been brought in as decoration.
