I get why and I understand the barriers/limitations/safety etc. But those responsible for making this decision have bottled it. Most weeks those making football decisions for big games/crowds, can find ways to overcome these barriers, to have grounds full and allow the maximum number of people to watch a game safely. To have the scenario where there will be gaps in both grounds, when, especially for the Barnsley leg, there will be people disappointed they can’t go and will be seeing empty seats on TV is fucking stupid. It’s not like it’s comparable to the Portsmouth game, we sold the large majority of the south seats, justifying the decision. Barnsley will leave the majority of that stand empty again!
