He’s a fellow Walkdener isn’t he?

I’d love any Bolton player to succeed. And I’m loathe to criticise any of them (apart from Keith Andrew’s).

I just don’t think he has the ability at this level. Barnsley fans weren’t overly fussed to lose him. Would love him to come good, and I’ve seen comments about his best position. But I’d expect us, him and 2 managers to know by now.

Yes he is from Walkden 👍. Anyway let's see what SS can do with him for the rest of the season.

It was a shit game in general, having to watch Gethin & Cogley play as your main attacking threats is a real chore then adding Victor trying to act like a striker up front looking all lost at sea is a vivid nightmare. Can’t say I’m arsed about going out half our team is cup tied for the tournament so would get absolutely bummed by brum in the final. The glaring issue though is that Collins is going to have to absolutely carry us on his own like Dapo used to with Etete being another sick note, Victor being not very good & McAtee being an imitator because f knows what position he’s meant to be.

Yeah but that was because Evatt had wasted a lot of money on 2 crap strikers in Victor And McAtee and also wasted a lot of money on a midfielder that wasn't needed (randall)

Don't think I've seen a slighter player for us. Looks about 5'4 and 7 stone :D

That was fuckin annoying . We beat ourselves with the refs help .

Taking Matete off and not vic was a massive mistake as Parky then overloaded the midfield.

Played all the football far and away the better team , they scored with the only shot and we were overly shot shy .

Toal still getting up to speed but defence looks good , still need that recognised DMC. Anything other than 3 regular midfielders is a mistake.

Vic should never kick a ball for us again.

Spending over £3m quid and a million a year in wages for (so far) completely ineffective #10’s could genuinely be seen as a reason to fire the  whole recruitment team.

it’s a real concern as we’ve looked pretty toothless in the final third in 2/3rds of the new managers games.

Vic looked like a competition winner tonight too. As he has all season. Heavy, slow, clumsy, cumbersome.

Really would like McAtee to succeed but it's just not happening, Anyone else think he's carrying too much weight?

Definitely. He doesn't go in for any tackles or headers anyway so he needs to shed those extra pounds to add some pace to his game. Of all our signings this season he's the one I'm most disappointed with.

He didn’t kick one for us tonight.

It’s as bad as I’ve seen him, and that’s saying something.

He's a forward, think that's clear now given it didn't work out him dropping into midfield earlier in season. Also he got 16 at Grimsby one year, too many for a midfielder. probs disagree about Barnsley. They liked him. He suited their pressing style.

As others have pointed out, Huddersfield fans have a much different opinion of Dion than we do .

He's definitely shown glimpses, Crawley away etc. I think he works better In a two and not a 1. Not seen the best of him but I don't think we've seen the best of most of our players. Hes most likely gonna be in double figures come the end of the season though.

But Cogley and Jones were instrumental in two of the goals on Saturday.

Cogley was an attacking full-back on the right on Saturday, where he's much more effective

Left wing-back is a different matter, although I accept we had no good options for that position tonight

Vic just isn't cut out for this level. I can't remember a striker with his combination of being so uncomfortable on the ball, pose no goal threat by getting into good positions or have any ability to shoot.

Played ok, need to do more when on top.

proves vic is poor and mcatee not much better.

we both had some decent players missing (Morley, Randell, geordie full back, tutu and Collins cameos)

saves us a potentially expensive, moody day out, probably outnumbered at Wembley.

on to the bread and butter and getting into these play offs

Should’ve had it won by half time. Lack of bench options meant we’d always struggle if they made changes.

Felt a bit Evatt like but Schumacher still finding his feet with the players.

Evatt said himself not much would change with a new manager. Self preservation of course but I do think we’ll see inconsistent results for rest of season with an outside sniff of play offs.

Amazing if we somehow go up, but Schumacher will have pre season to shape his own squad.

Its going to be very Evatt (and Markham) like for the rest of the season with the cards SS has been dealt, we just have to be patient.  Not that tonight matters or provides a benchmark, but we know the weaknesses IE left us with aren't going away just because we have a new manager.

I am not sure if McAtee or Vic is the worst player.

Vic offers nothing at all, in first half Wrexham even started passing to him as ball was given straight back.

McAtee has the nerve to bollocks other players who make mistakes whilst doing slightly more than Vic.

I’d just like McAtee to jump for a header just once. To at least confirm he’s not a double amputee.

McAtee has that unhappy knack of jumping for a ball and going downwards. One of the most flat footed players I've ever seen.
