The bend on that shot is ridiculous. No wonder the keeper didn’t budge….

Class video that. Had a great view from ESL. It's like time slowed down when it left his boot.

I’d love to see this; does content on WanderersTV stay on there for the foreseeable?

There's a snippet on twitter:

I genuinely believe that Toaly is our fastest player. Maybe Gale runs him close.

He's absolutely rapid when he gets going.

Johnno had a good game, but I just feel that if Toal was left footed, a partnership of him and Forino would be golden.

Wasn’t it said last season that Morley was the quickest in the squad? Obviously thats before Gale’s arrival like

I know we have this debate/moan periodically, but why on earth would you systematically leave a game early watching Bolton at the moment?

I get the one-off personal circumstances and the game-over what’s the point hanging around occasions.

But leaving early every week or leaving as an expression of annoyance when the game is very much alive is just moronic.

Spending your money and time to miss out on celebrating last minute winners is just bamboozling!

Never understand why they do it just to beat the traffic!

Rather than “everyone”, I see about half a dozen people run up the steps to celebrate the goal. These people will have retired to the concourse, where you can still watch the match on TV, to allow a quick getaway. They “saw” the goal.

Personally, I don’t leave my seat until the last player has left the pitch. But everyone has their own preferences. However, many of those who’ve “left early” have simply moved from their seat to the concourse TVs.

Now that the dust has settled a bit, Im thinking that the most satisfying thing about that game was that we showed that we are capable of a disciplined, professional, hardworking defensive team performance when required - something that we haven’t seen very often in recent times.
I know we sacrificed some of our attacking threat to do it, but I was chuffed to watch us holding our positions, tracking back, putting in tackles, snuffing out threats and limiting their chances to a couple of headers for most of the game.
Makes a pleasant change from piling forward in numbers, struggling against a packed defence then leaving gaps and getting hit on the break.
Ironic then, that SS went for it at the death and we won it in the way we did but at least we weren’t chasing an equaliser at that point and we’d blunted their high scoring attack and worn them down by then.
TBF our lads were knackered too, but it’s testament to their fitness that they could chase and harry for 85 minutes and still have the energy to switch to an attacking format.

Duberry’s goal was artistic but I was equally impressed with his workrate throughout and Sheehan looked like a different player (corners aside 😀)

Even Randall looked less chicken when he came on.

Only disappointment for me was Taylor who for a quick man, was too slow at getting out to stop crosses.

It gives me confidence to know we can defend as a team when we need to and switch to attack as required. And if Schumacher gets his opposition analysis and tactics as spot on as that every game, we’re finally going places.

Last 20 seconds and the vast majority are still in their seats a really small number come back up the vomitory.

Who really carries just a good excuse the use the word vomitory.

I have almost always stay in MY seat till past the 90m then moved lower to sit in a vacated one close to the exit.  Then up & out before the ref finishes his blow for the final whistle.

Only rarely staying to applaud the players. Rude maybe but I've got 65 miles to go & car park queueing to avoid. I've been home by 6pm quite often.

I watched the Everton game yesterday and at 0-2 on 85m the was a mass exodus. There'sstill c.10m play left ffs.

The further exit as the 3rd went in on 92m I can get, I suppose. By the end I doubt there were 5k Scoucers still present.

I missed the goal on Saturday and to be honest I'm still not over it :(

Couldn't get on the hotel car park before the game. They'd allocated way too much space for the Cardiff coaches, loads of space redundant.

My old man can't walk from any other car park, so I dropped him at the hotel doors and drove over to Scott's.

I did this for the Wigan game and it took me over an hour just to get off Scott's carpark nevermind the ridiculous bottle neck past the police station. That meant my old man and Lad were sat there for well over an hour while I fought through traffic to pick them up at the hotel.

Couldn't face that again so I left on 88. I was fucking raging.

It still took me ages to get to them. They'd managed to get to the entrance of hotel carpark, I turned in and picked them up and that carpark was gridlocked too and their coaches hadn't even moved yet so I lost my shit and went back out the no exit on to De Haviland way.

I'm probably going to get a fine now as well.

I didn't speak all the way home :D

You get plenty who go down and watch end of the game on the TV

I suspect that's what they did

I think they switch the TV 's off at some point during the second half.

If it is any consolation I stayed till the end, saw the goal, clapped the players as they went past the East Stand, walked over to main car park as Yoof had gone for a piss. We then drove past where the buses were parked and were off in about 10 minutes. We had to move one bollard to help smooth the  flow of traffic 😂😂🕺👍😎

Surely they can't do me for going out of a no exit, although the carpark camera thing probably still thinks I'm there now ha

Fucking hell mate - I feel your frustration with that scenario.

That very much falls into the category of personal circumstances dictating your decision making. We’re often coming up with a complicated 10 part plan to sort my dad out attending. The latter part usually being the opposite. Waiting till the big crowds have left and being the last out.

It’s sad that fans miss out on those highs. Hopefully you won’t miss anymore this season!

That’s what Gonzo’s should do; head into the hotel for a relaxing hour after the final whistle and then drive off in comfort

Despite me bringing up the debate and finding it unusual, it is all personal and I get that.

And when dealing with the older generation being set in their ways leaving early might be the only alternative option. Standing up and waiting ages for a pint post game might not suit.

But I do think there’s a difference in what Gonzo describes in comparison to the folk who get angry storming off and those who want to get back to settle in for Saturday night TV every week. (There’s a guy near us who does this)

It’s always an interesting debate because some will do it and justify doing it, yet others will never (rarely) do it and find it unusual, especially when folk are missing out on everything that’s the best in following us!

Aye that's it. It's only when the hotel carpark is full that I face the problem, never dreamt it'd be full an hour before kick off v Cardiff with only 2k away fans. Lord knows why they had to take so much room away.

I'll stay and have a beer in the hotel after next time 100% then go and get the motor from wherever it is.

It looks awful when half the ground is empty with 5 mins to go, especially when we are still in the game.

A lot is down to the cluster fuck traffic management. You've got the arena carpark, Scott's car park and general traffic all Pilling down to that roundabout and into the whole retail park and official carparks traffic. It just beggars belief.

Just let the arena and Scott's lot turn right and they'd be off and away and make an entrance available to De Havilland way from the hotel and away carpark back towards Bolton.

So bloody simple.

Like I say it took me an hour to even get off Scott's after Wigan.

Especially when its an early kick off

I try to avoid Middlebrook parking at any time in the season (at weekends), but next game will be November and its even more mad upto Christmas.  Total no-go for me at weekend (not just matchdays either!).

My alternative is a very long walk, which is fine on days like Saturday, not so fine in the middle of winter if its pissing down.  But still better than parking at Middlebrook, we are lucky that we are all currently mobile enough to walk a distance.

But I totally get why some folk leave a few minutes from the end, who wants to sit on the car park in the dark for an hour or more.  Its noticeable at some grounds - Liverpool, Leeds to name two - that the crowds stay till the end, it always still looks packed before the players have left the pitch.  I'm guessing they don't have the same bottle necks as us and/or just don't care when they get home.
