I personally loved all the fellow footy fans I met in London town. Pretty much every single one of them spoke about Wanderers very highly. Arsenal, West Ham, Spurs fans.

It felt great to wear our famous white across the capital.

Bumped into a couple of Notts County fans walking out if Green Man on Monday

“we’re all pies aren’t we?!?!!”

erm, no; we’re Bolton- ABS though!

Confused look on their face… “Yeah!!! Reuben Rodrigues!!!!“

Then walked to The Torch seeing about 12 Salford fans between the two

Also had two separate families both with Stevenage tops on come up and say thanks for beating Stockport. Seems they really do not like them at all

I do like the Wanderers acknowledgment outside of Bolton; neighbouring Lancashire towns, down south, home nations, on holiday.

Best one I ever had was on honeymoon in Fiji. In the breakfast queue with my Wanderers top on, bloke behind says something along the lines of “White Army” .

We’re still good mates now and it’s Toby Ritchies dad!

Got back from Portugal on Tuesday, wore my Bolton T-shirt on the day of the game and afterwards and it sparked up some nice conversations

Same as, went to the Old Town with Bolton top on after watching the match on the hotel big screen with 4 others, quite a few compliments from various supporters

Couple of white army shouts at the wanderers shirts i spotted at Slam Dunk on sunday, trying to get enough signal to follow the score ate through my battery something rotten.

One of the lad in our group was a county fan so had some fun at his expense

Back in the day a mate of mine was on holiday in Florida, whilst there he saw a family with ‘loads of kids’. All the kids were wearing matching Bolton tops.

He recognised the kit as Bolton and the dad as SJM.

I was milling about the other day in my Wanderers shirt. This bloke posting leaflets clocked me and we started chatting… I say chatting, he was just really patronising and going on about the accounts. I blanked out when he started belittling my intelligence and ranting about six year grudges. Could’ve used one word, but chose 1000 instead.

Sure he could be a nice bloke… just socially awkward

Went to majorca about r yrs back got a taxi into parma . It was miles further than we anticipated and we were stuck in traffic. Daughter has a wanderers top on and we spoke about footy with driver. He was a real Madrid fan. I mentioned campo  thinking he was a bit part in their history. Turns out campo played for majorca and he is adored there. I fucking loved campo a proper white

Was in Kay's chippy in Cleveleys yesterday dinner, had my macron bwfc blue polo on.

Youngish bloke behind the counter asked 'did you go, bloody brilliant wasn't it?'  Turns out he was also a Bolton fan.

The ensuing 20 minute conversation while I waited for my chips must've been absolutely fascinating for the other customers in the lengthy queue 🙂
