not seen Capt America yet but I looks ok from the trailers - it had better be better than Thor though, which was utter wank and put me off the Avengers

I thought Thor was pretty good.

There was too much emphasis on the humans and not enough on the Asgardians though.

Wrong Turn 4.

No need for any review/recommendation etc.

Its exactly as you imagine it to be. This time set in a abandoned mental hospital (imaginative, I know).

Couple from last night.

Trespass

I enjoyed it, but I am a massive Nicolas Cage fan (I know, I know). Its a thriller about a diamond dealer who get his house broken into by baddies in search of money.

A few twists, who is actually on whos side, what are peoples real motives etc etc.

All pretty standard but passed an hour and a half.

The Woman

Mixed reviews on this, it tries to make you uncomfortable, if it succeeds or not I suppose depends on how many of these types of films you have seen before.

It's low budget and focuses on what goes on behind closed doors. A well to do lawyer type finds a feral woman in the woods and catches her so that he can help her become civilized.

Focuses on subhumanity, civilization, hypocrisy, 'civilized men' acting savage but hiding it, abuse, incest, rape, and how evil is passed down and learned by children.

Doubt its many folks cup of tea, I found it quite boring and drawn out.

Anyone seen The Constant Gardener?

I taped it last week and I know it's supposed to be good, but the uninspiring title has always put me off seeing it.

Is it worth 2 hours 17 mins of my life?

Anyone watched 'Horrible Boses'?

Yeah. It's alreet. Some genuinely funny moments. It's about 20 mins longer than it needs to be and starts to drag a bit but still worth a watch.

6.5/10

Super 8

Its like a cross between Cloverfield and The Goonies.

Started well, fell off the pace a bit, then ended badly.

Disappointed with the lack of a twist at the end as thats become Abrams signature over the years. It felt like Spielberg was in charge and Abrams was the assistant.

I liked it, but would have preferred to have seen more action, I would have liked to have known how the monster got here and how the monster could turn those cubes and all that metal into a ship, it should have ended better imo, District 9 left it open for a sequel, this ending for me was rushed and just saw the ship go in to space.

The monster was cool, took a while before we actually saw it in full really, like you say it's like Cloverfield.

The whole kids shooting a film and they catch it on tape etc and the monster doesn't kill the kid, it was a bit of a coincidence and I'm sure there's other films were the so called monster, isn't really that bad, it just wants to go home.
