was that a 2 legged affair?

and i know goals compilations arent the best for keepers, but felgate really was a bad un

Bit rough on him that.

Not the biggest, and made errors, but also made plenty of fine saves.

Anyone at Burnley in the cup will remember the remarkable over head clearance from under the bar!

2 legged league cup ties seem insane now looking back

Seem to remember an FA cup tie between Arsenal and maybe Sheff Wed in the early 90s before the days of one replay then extra time and pens

Went to about four replays and held up the next round

Its crazy, fans still travelling to second legs midweek when games were dead etc.

Can see FA Cup replays going same way and in years to come looking back on them like it was a bizarre thing to do

The saga wasnt a final

4th or 5th round, i think

Aye think he means the 93 final. Andy Linegan scored the winner and broke his at same time in replay at Wembley.

We beat them season after as holders.

Sure United Palace final went to a replay too few seasons before in Ian Wrights golden era.

Didnt United play Oldham at Maine Road in a replay the season they beat us? First one was at Wembley.

Fuck me I thought the fans weren't thought about nowadays. Imagine having to do all that in a bedford rascal.

Think it was Steve Morrow (?) who broke his arm.  Nearly lost it too IIRC it was that bad of a break.

Aye, back in very early 90s I was living in London and mate at work was a Hull fan. So a few of us went to their League Cup 2nd leg at Loftus Road. 3-0 down from the home game they were, but even so quite a few Hull had come down just for the hell of it!
