Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 17, 2023 Site Supporter Posted November 17, 2023 Remarkable footage. Just watched the Charlton game, and what a pitch! Good to hear some of "London Whites" and their groans/cheers/comments from under the commentary box. Quote

Not the biggest, and made errors, but also made plenty of fine saves. Anyone at Burnley in the cup will remember the remarkable over head clearance from under the bar! Quote

Duck Egg Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 The round after. We'd won at Sunderland in the 3rd round, then beat Halifax ^ at Burnden in the 4th round before Arsenal. Quote

Andy Linegan scored the winner and broke his at same time in replay at Wembley. We beat them season after as holders. Sure United Palace final went to a replay too few seasons before in Ian Wrights golden era. Didnt United play Oldham at Maine Road in a replay the season they beat us? First one was at Wembley. Fuck me I thought the fans weren't thought about nowadays. Imagine having to do all that in a bedford rascal. Quote

So a few of us went to their League Cup 2nd leg at Loftus Road. 3-0 down from the home game they were, but even so quite a few Hull had come down just for the hell of it! Quote
