The 400,000 people estimated to involved to some extent in the moon landings not one has said it was fake

The Russians who desperate to be the first on the moon acknowledge they were beat

Rocks from the moon have been analysed across the world and have been found to be of a different composition from anything on earth.

Just google it.

Don’t forget the John Lewis advert a few years ago.

Lasers on earth that connect with those mirrors on the moon surface are also constantly tracking the distance between moon and earth to the millimetre. That's why we know the moon is moving away from the earth by several centimetres each year. Eventually this will diminish the gravitational pull the moon has on the earth (and vice versa) which will adversely affect tides and the seasons, amongst other things. Luckily this should only become significant in thousands of years' time (providing the moon's movement remains at the current rate)

Health and safety innit. Buzz and co had balls of steel. Read Moondust which is collection of the stories of the astronauts who went.

Nail on head now hit.

These days we are risk averse in everything we do.

I muttered Al Shepard last night when the countdown was held at 10 mins... "Light the xxxx candle"

The Right Stuff remains my all time favourite film

From your post it was.

Anyway, I won't be carrying on with any of this.

You've made your mind up, like the flat earthers.

Crack on.

If you say so.

All I said was that piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah!

That's one in the eye for the flat-earthers

They should find the biggest most influential flat earthers with the largest followings and take them up there with them

And make them live stream / record it

Noticed the moon gets a lot of impacts from meteors

If they build a base for hoomans up there, what’s the chances of one landing on their heads?

Higher, surely, since there’s no atmosphere to stop them all?

I know it’s a smaller target, but just wondered how often rocks are clattering into Mr Moon

How sad it is that this isn't the number one story and being given blanket 24/7 coverage. Its an incredible and inspiring achievement and one you'd hope would be being shown as a testament to human accomplishment.

When they return and visit the WH, I wonder if Trump will lean into that, or whether he'll just use it as something to attack Biden or Harris or whoever else with.

Its very very old and the lacks an atmosphere, water and a molten core so you don't get erosion or plates moving which change the landscape.
