Would have preferred Stevenage to have held on (still prefer them than either Plymouth or Luton) but not too arsed either way. Bradford will be fuming having played 10 men for 80 mins. Stockport have thrown away a 2 goal lead, conceded in injury time and conceded 3 to a terrible Exeter team. Meanwhile they’ve all spotted that we’re never out of it and have yet another goal in injury time. That’ll do Stockport’s players haven’t been home in over a week apparently. Can’t be great preparation for them. Quote

To be fair to them, their form is holding up in the league - I just think the fixture pile up and injuries they’ve got are far from ideal to be hitting the play offs with. Cant get away from their main striker playing centre back - it’s proper old school. Imagine us heading towards the play offs with Dalby turning out at centre back 😂 (and just conceding 3 to Exeter). We’d be wondering whether there’s even any point in getting in them in the first place. Meanwhile, in very different circumstances to Tuesday, we’ve just had a massive shot in the arm confidence boost. I know I’m picking the positives to suit our own situation, it’s obviously biased and might count for fuck all in a couple of weeks. I just think Stockportways will be very worried right now! Quote

We have been very lucky today. At one point we were losing and Bradford winning with everyone else to play. Playoffs were looking vulnerable two late goals in the early kick offs and we retain a two point lead over Bradford. Late goals in the 3pm kick offs at Stevenage and Exeter and Stockport and Stevenage don’t get an advantage. I know Luton pulled two goals back to get a draw but I would have taken that before kick off ( they need to win there last three games and turn around 11 goal difference against us if we lose at Bradford) Only bad result was Plymouth winning; we need Bradford to get at least a draw Tuesday night Quote

Its not luck or a coincidence, its a mentality and a belief. People who keep writing us off before weve even got to half time are, quote, "dipsticks". Quote

Same as them who leave early! After Max sky'ed that 'cross' into the North upper on 99 minutes, I presumed the ref would blow as soon as they took the goal kick. We always stay til the end anyway but wanted to applaud them at the end for their brave efforts. Their guy then runs it into the corner before losing it and I'm thinking, "he'll blow as soon as Bonham boots this up". He doesn't. On the clips on Twitter you can see folk leaving the lower East as Sissoko plays it up to ACD! The bedlam that followed will stay with me forever 😀 Edited 8 hours ago by Duck Egg Quote
