My guess is every single one of them. I just can't imagine celebrating any goal fully knowing someone has to forensically find reasons to disallow it Quote
Stig Posted Tuesday at 20:37 Posted Tuesday at 20:37 Also how good does Kane look with these players alongside him? Drifts wherever he wants, plays other forwards in. Meanwhile England will have him isolated up front and then taking corners or something Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted Tuesday at 22:11 Posted Tuesday at 22:11 Stockport Forum 'Yellowpage' ____________________________ *Port Vale (H) - match thread | Yellowboard https://share.google/Z45EFVvmYRJ8brMyy *Dave Challinor: "I'm fuming with the performance we've all just watched. I'd love to say I didn't see it coming, but it's probably not a huge surprise. The players looked a bit flat (in training) yesterday, which can happen. But we didn't start the game anywhere near well enough, and the whole evening has ended up flat. We have to look as management whether we made enough changes. You're damned if you do, damned if you don't, but not everyone can go again and we'll have to look at that." "It was sloppy from minute one and didn't get better for 96 minutes. If we perform anywhere near as badly on Saturday as we have tonight, we'll be relying on results elsewhere. If that's not motivation for the players to perform, then nothing will be. We now have to go and get the result we need at Barnsley." "You need your experienced players, some of the young'uns got lost a bit and the experienced ones weren't at it, and that's frustrating on the night." "Christy (Grogan) is a young player, Che (Gardner) played in a position that isn't his, and he's exposed a bit. Young players have been thrust into a level of football they're not quite ready for, and there's nothing wrong with that (from their side). That's where we're at, we hope Cogs will be available this weekend which will help things a little bit. But on young players being exposed, I take the blame for that, (but) we don't have much else we can do. That's not an excuse, that's the hand we've been dealt. We have to make the best of it we can and see where it takes us." "We know what Barnsley have got and how they'll go about it. The manager will want to finish really well in his last game. They'll want to finish with a win. We just have to focus on ourselves, we have to turn up if we want to get what we've worked 45 games for." "We can't be passing the buck and hoping someone else will pull you out of the mire. Louie (Barry) shouldn't have come on, but you can't be thinking 'Louie will score two and get us out of a hole'. If you have that (attitude), your career will only go one way. I didn't want to play Louie for anywhere near that time, but we needed a spark so it had to be done. He's not superhuman and he can't go from being out for six months to playing an hour every Saturday and Tuesday. We can't just be reliant on Louie. The other players will have aspirations of playing higher - well they'll need to produce it when it really matters." "Benno will always look bright, because that's him as a player. Half an hour tonight potentially gives him an hour on Saturday, which is good. We have to be careful with him because of how he plays and presses and runs. But it's great to have him back." "We've gone Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, and the evening was flat. Again, that's not an excuse, that's where we're at, and only we can get ourselves out of it." "Nothing else apart from our result makes any difference. Let's not focus on anything else, get our own house in order and take care of our business. If we're going to go there and play for a draw, we would have just done that tonight. We have to play forwards at the weekend which we didn't tonight, and that's on us to rectify and go and perform (on Saturday)." *Worst performance I can remember for ages. Norwood, Diamond and Mothersille particularly poor, defence terrible first half as injuries finally caught up with us, and Bailey and Addai just about the only ones to come out with any credit. We seem to have a terrible performance in us every once in a while, so I guess the positive is we have it out the way in a relatively meaningless game. We desperately need JDC back, and wouldn’t be averse to giving Grogan the whole game on Saturday. *No credit to DC but equally tonight is mainly on the players. No one had a good game and the majority had stinkers, with some total stinkers. We didn't get tactically out done. We got out worked then compounded it by looking after the ball terribly when we did get it. *Challinor needs to get off his fat arse for once as well. 2-0 down at home to a relegated team when we need one point to secure the playoffs and he’s slumped in his seat like a clueless numpty. The players shouldn’t need motivation but if they did, looking over and seeing Challinor not looking arsed isn’t going to help. Get out of your seat. Coach the team through the game. Urgency starts with him and yet again he’s done f*ck all to demonstrate it. *Peak laziness tonight was Challinor screaming at the players from his seat. *Worrying to hear that the players seemed flat in training before such an important match Doesn’t bode particularly well for the play offs! His arm comes out from the unnatural position behind his back as he's turning away from the ball into a more natural position by his side for balance. That coincides with the PSG player blasting the ball into his thigh and then ricochets onto his arm, which is then pushed back by the force of the ball. At no point is he intentionally looking to handle the ball or have his arm in an unnatural position (apart from the bits where he has his arms behind his back to try to guard against poor refereeing) Quote

Last night the players just got on with it and pretty much carried on playing their own game....not 1 player let it dictate attitude or act hard done by moaning and kicking out. 2 top top top level teams just going for more goals, its was so so good. And to watch it with no commentary, was bliss. Quote

deeane Koontz Posted Wednesday at 08:35 Posted Wednesday at 08:35 Saka used to have some spontaneity to his game early on but he's turned/been turned into a rinse and repeat merchant. Still a good player like but You know what he's going to do. Might explain his declining 'numbers' in recent seasons. Quote

Other teams will know that and will plan accordingly. Quote
