Youri McAnespie Posted April 28, 2016 Share Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Had a cracking view of Teide on the flight to Cape Verde - stunning to see the entire island and mountain with snow on it from high up.That's why I don't get folk who sit reading The Telegraph or whatever throughout flights and never even glance out of the portholes (?) - like they've seen it all before...You see some cracking sights from the air, all The Balearics framed once on a flight from Sardinia and more recently Hudson Bay... I can imagine it being fleeing up Teide, looks like (from a ship, or as Smiley says, the air) a mini-Himalayan peak plonked into the sea... I had a look at those ferry trips, you're talking €60+ for a return trip, gone up a bit to say the least... Nigel Benn credited his win over Gerald McClellan (I think) to his training runs up Teide.
