tomski Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I don't care who is part of the consortium, it's not like they're going to be playing. At least if we get sold, we can start to move forward, as things stand were not even treading waterThis is where I am at. A change has to be good. I hope something happens. Quote
Anderson Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I just cannot see where the capital is coming from... It may be that they just acquire the club and the Davies' retain the assets and we lease the football relevant ones. I'm also wary of the apparent lack of business experience. The grass isn't always greener. Quote

The grass isn't always greener. not just me, then anyway, the way i read it, is that theres this business which employs a few footballers it seems that one bit of it fancies itself as a broker, an estate agent if you like, meets with eddie (cos garty doesnt know about it) and says it'll find him a buyer for a fee probably even tho that site is full of uber cocks ive got to give them credit for getting so many folk thinking they actually know something and then presenting that something to be something its not Quote

jules_darby Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Dorigo and Scales aren't neccesarily part of any consortium, they've just consulted for the same company as Deano the open goal misser. If Dean etc have anything to do with this it will be as said consultants / "figurehead(s)"; not as anything to do with the funding Certainly not at the levels as which would be acceptable to any seller having done the required due diligence Baited breath.... gonzo Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I liked Dean Holdsworth. He always put a shift in and was with us longer than folk think. That miss aside he was a decent servant to Bolton IMO. Was superb at Ipswich. Quote
jules_darby Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 In fact none of this would surprise me if it was a smokescreen Who/what for fuck knows Quote

I was sat right in line with him when he missed that sitter at Wembley, but he scored enough goals to make that one forgiveable. Quote

IMO, it's only unforgivable if it's done on purpose. Pretty sure he'd rather have hit the back of the net than skied it over the bar. We all fuck up sometimes, even when we have the best intentions. snowball Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Can I play fantasy takeover, please? I would love it if Big Sam was found out to be an investor who helped buy the club, install his old mate Browny as manager and get rid of Gartside in one stroke. Would send some on here into spontaneous combustion. Good job it's all bollocks. Still think it wouldn't take much for the grass to be actually greener though, it's brown and shrivelled at the moment. Quote

From the tit bits we've seen it all looks very amateur Currently it looks like they're mainly linked with non league football? I doubt very much that they collectively have enough of a pot to piss in to cover our losses for 12 months let alone fund the fabled war chest so your probably right it would be as a consultant But who would be the money men the Evostick family?? I'm in the better the devil you know camp too unless someone comes forward who is worth £100m+ and is likely to not be arsed about spunking large parts of it up the wall Wouldn't want us to end up with no stadium playing at the JJB because some Terry Tibbs character got out of his depth Quote
