If Venky’s front up for this then what the fuck are they protesting about

Fantastic owners the Venkys picked wrong Lancashire club though they can’t hold a candle to BWFC.

7 loans if Hardie signs but have a feeling we won’t see Forss or ACD again and even if Forss is fit don’t see how he gets in this team as for the other I think Cissoko misses out which leaves 5.  Anyway this isn’t an issue until April

Agreed. Plus the likelihood that more than 5 will be fit, on form & not banned would be a good problem to have.

TSL being a massive fadge and leaving has really helped our promotion push in more ways than one.

No doubt he would strengthen the squad, but how much will he play, as opposed to Dalby?

Presumably Rodriguez will come in, so that only leaves one spot for a striker.

If two strikers play, and Rodriguez, then what formation/midfield is SS going to go with?

Dalby getting better each game, as (i never thought i’d say this) is McAtee

After this game we hit town. Later in the evening a good dozen Bolton players turned up in The Anchor, off Bradshawgate, accompanied by a rather pissed Ian Greaves.

Greaves slumped over his pint related that Wolves manager Sammy Chung had sympathised with him & said "you'll do it next season Ian" & Greaves had told "the little yellow cunt to fuck off".

Not surprised he was pissed off, I’ve never seen a team with nothing to play for put more effort in than Wolves did that day.

McAtee will be off to Barnsley when we get Hardie as Tykes fans over here are almost certain DKD played his last game for them yesterday, taking much longer to go off than normal. At least we won’t have to face him next week if he does. They reckon if it’s not Wrexham, which it likely is, it will be Nob End who are also in for him. Apparently Barnsley have also done a deal for a striker from York so they’re hoping they’ll have both him and Macca as replacement.

If we're only playing one, he'll be ahead of Dalby in the pecking order

Think most or all of that is spot on

Dalby will play the behind Hardie. Every interview since Christmas with SS Dalby has been praised.

Think they will play as a pair rather than one and two wide as we have done most of the season

Maybe, but I don't know how we accommodate two up front and our other new signings unless we go 4-4-2/4-4-1-1

At some point this season people will realise that we're not going to play the same team and formation week in and week out.

Dalby has done relatively well despite never looking threatening. Burstow's loss of form looks terminal. There's absolutely a role for another striker.

Burstow must be well pissed off.

Whilst I feel for him, if he was playing now like he was in the first 10 games of the season, he’d be starting every week.

Well to be fair he knows what he has to do to change it and so far he’s failed to do it so he can’t really have too many complaints. It’s good that Schu plays the ones that are performing and not just favourites like Evatt.

We dont accommadate them, they have to show SS that they are better than what we have in training

We have basically sold/released 6 fringe players with 4/5 that expect to start. It is good that SS has that option

Agreed I only see it as Hardie being the 2nd striker we've needed all season, to play with Dalby.

If McAtee is off and his replacement is Rodriguez, there's an element of risk given his lack of recent game time and the fact that JM is part of us already integrated in the squad/team.  He could be an inspired signing, he could be one of those that fails to live upto expectation if nobody's seen him play for a year.  His record isn't screaming out that he's an upgrade on McAtee, but let's see how it plays out.

Same as what we play now with Hardie or Rodrigues in for McAtee

Well yes, that's a given

But they've clearly been brought in to play, and if they're as good as we think they are then I think it's difficult to play a formation that has our new wingers and two up front, which is presumably what a Dalby/Hardie pairing will be
