Farrelli
Don't think he would be allowed to play. Signings after first game rule?
Mounts Kipper
The releasing of Keshi Anderson frees up space for incomings with the Bolton News reporting Ameobi and ALF both possible, how good would that be.

Alf is certainly more favourable to Anderson. I'm wondering if the Geordie's are looking to sell rather than loan.

Moderators Zico Posted January 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 16, 2017 Alf is certainly more favourable to Anderson. I'm wondering if the Geordie's are looking to sell rather than loan. there'd be a loan fee which is effectively the same thing as he's out of contract in the summer
radcliffe white
Would Andersons wages been a lot? Not sure myself

Anyway, hopefully we've paid the first chunk that was due.

Anyway, hopefully we've paid the first chunk that was due. well that was the point (without knowing the ins and outs of it all) if we're having him for the rest of the season, what ever we pay in fees and wages, we're efffectively talking him off newcastle's hands permanently (assuming they don't offer him a new deal in the summer, which is highly unlikely)
frank_spencer
Would Andersons wages been a lot? Not sure myself Aye but with us still under this embargo, perhaps we had to lose some numbers before being allowed to add. From the start of Jan only Sameobi has left the squad, so if PP wants to bring in 2 players he needed to cut the squad numbers somewhere
waffer cup 07
Would Palace not have been paying Andersons wages anyway.
Sweep
Would Palace not have been paying Andersons wages anyway. If a player is loaned out, the could "loaning" pay all or some of the players wages, or so I believe anyway
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 16, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted January 16, 2017 well that was the point (without knowing the ins and outs of it all) if we're having him for the rest of the season, what ever we pay in fees and wages, we're efffectively talking him off newcastle's hands permanently (assuming they don't offer him a new deal in the summer, which is highly unlikely) He would have the opportunity to go anywhere then though. That's the gamble i suppose, pay a bit now and get his signature, and potential for money if resold. Pay for a loan and risk not getting him permanently, unless we're not that bothered. See what you mean but that's for bolton and Ameobi to sort out and nowt to do with Newcastle (unless they wanted him to sign a new contract) we could get him on loan now then get him on a pre contract agreement assuming they still exist, haven't heard of one since Gerald Cid
